A Queensland man, 28, has been jailed for stabbing his pregnant girlfriend, 21, and slashing at her breasts with a knife.
Matthew Loch Lievesley was drinking with his partner and her sisters at their home in Beenleigh, Brisbane's south, when he attacked her in June 2015.
The court heard Lievesley grabbed a boning knife from the kitchen and screamed, 'This is how you make me feel' before stabbing the pregnant 21-year-old in the stomach.
A comment made about the couple's sex life reportedly triggered the attack.
Lievesley pleaded guilty to five charges including assault causing bodily harm and was sentenced to nine years in prison at the Queensland Supreme Court (pictured) on Friday
Lievesley also slashed his girlfriend's breasts multiple times before driving the knife into her forearm, the court heard.
He also reportedly assaulted the woman's 16-year-old sister.
On Friday, Queensland Supreme Court judge David Boddice sentenced Lievesley to nine years in prison.
'It is dreadful, deliberate, violent conduct against not only your partner but others in the household,' Justice Boddice said.
'It occurred in the context of excessive alcohol intake which may have been exacerbated by the tablet you took for feeling unwell ... It is difficult to understand how, even with those factors, you were placed in a position of such rage you could carry out these despicable acts.'
Lievesley pleaded guilty to five charges including assault causing bodily harm.
His father, mother, current partner and sister said an emotional goodbye to Lievesley as he was taken away to the cells.
Defence barrister James Godbolt said Lievesley was 'ashamed' and couldn't explain why he had committed such a violent act.

Mr Godbolt said Lievesley was ashamed of the assault.
'Mr Lievesley's behaviour on this night is completely at odds with the person that he is,' Mr Godbolt told the court.
Given Lievesley's clean record and lack of violent history, he will be eligible for parole from the 19th of July 2020.
Both the woman and the unborn child survived the attack.
