Nigel is Steeles Law’s most senior director, originally joining the business in 1977.

Head of our corporate and commercial practices, he has substantial experience in advising clients in relation to acquisitions, divestitures, stock and asset purchases, private equity and venture capital investments, joint ventures and strategic alliances and general corporate and commercial law advice.

Richard is head of our company commercial team and one of Steeles Law’s most experienced solicitors.

He advises on large scale corporate transactions, non contentious intellectual property and directors’ duties. Richard has received national recognition for his work in the area of commercial agency and franchising. He represents numerous national and international trade organisations and associations.

Before his training with Steeles, James studied Law at Durham University, including at master’s level. James has also worked as a volunteer adviser with a local Citizens Advice Bureau, where he gained experience in a number of different disciplines but specialised in advising employees on employment law issues.

Kate joined Steeles in April 2017 as a paralegal after completing her Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in 2016. She was promoted to the role of trainee solicitor in September 2017 and is currently half way through her training contract.

Kate has spent the first year of her training working mostly for the Commercial and Dispute Resolution teams but also provides ad hoc support in Commercial Property and Employment law.
