Trying to do a Rihanna! Alicia Keys writhes around in sultry video for new single Girl on Fire

It seems Alicia Keys felt like trying her hand at being a sex symbol for her new music video.

For the singer writhes around on a bed and wears her hair like Rihanna in the clip for her new track, Girl on Fire.

But the 31-year-old gives the formula a twist in the film for her new single.

In between scenes of the singer bathed in coloured lights, she seems to have been inspired by her new role as a mother, playing with children in several glossy shots.

No doubt the mother-of-one thought she was injecting some of herself into the cinematic shoot.

And some will feel it is an unqualified success, as it humanises the sex kitten character she plays in other scenes.

Alicia certainly seems to be feeling pleased with herself and the quality of the finished product.

For she drew attention to it by tweeting about how she enjoyed working with the little munchkins.

The Element of Freedom favourite wrote: 'I played mom to these adorable little angels in my #AKGirlOnFire video! Can’t wait to share the whole video with you!'

Her upcoming album, which shares the same title as the single, is out in stores on November 27.

i like Alicia Keys, i went to see her in live. Only point is that i feel that her videos are disappointing compared to her songs. Besides this one reminds me of Sade's videos...the housewife thing struggling with the home and children.

Cute song!! Daily Mail!!!! How can you put Alicia and Rhianna in the same sentence!!!! That's like putting Cheryl Cole in the same sentence as Ella Fitzgerald in terms of vocal ability and talent!!!! I like this song - it reminds me of Sleeping with a Broken Heart a bit in terms of the drums and the bass. But its a cute song and I cannot wait for the album; the toddler and the grandmother in this video are so adorable. And NO DM, Alicia is not writhing!!!! Alicia doed not need to copy anyone she has a style and spohistication of her own!!! Always thought she reminds me of a cross between Lena Horne and Jessica Alba!!!
