Tan Mom Patricia Krentcil returns to the recording studio with Adam Barta for a new single Free 2 Be Me

If you thought you'd heard the last of Tan Mom, think again.

The viral persona - real name Patricia Krentcil - wasn't content with just being known for frying herself to a crisp on dangerous tanning beds, because she's chasing an even more ignominious level of fame.

The 50-year-old has just returned to music.

The self-proclaimed sunbed addict has returned to the recording studio with Adam Barta for a new single Free 2 Be Me.

The song is about Patricia wanting to shed the Tan Mom persona and go back to being 'Patricia Marie.'

The mother-of-five from Nutley, New Jersey struck a deal with the comedy division at Waverly | Grace Music Group (distributed under Sony Music), and the label brought in the skills of Billboard chart topping producer Electropoint to produce the track.

They also got recording artist Adam Barta (who she had worked with previously on tune Rock My Freakin' Body) to help with vocals and write the song.
