Rachel: Worked with your wonderful Father in Washington when I was asst GM with Dips. We had great fun with him and assitant coach Alan Spavin. I got to know him quite well–long road trips on buses, airplanes and airports will facilitate that. I reunited with him years later when I moved to Florida to work at PGA Tour with old soccer friends Steve and Amy Rankin. Please give my best to your mother Helen–a great woman. Let me know via e mail hansonenterprise@aol.com how I might contribute to this project. My website is http://www.hansonenterprises.net as well.

CONGRATULATIONS, Rachel! You know me, as the author of the TRIBUTE, “To Dennis, from tour pal, Eric”, which was extensively used in the later Biography, “Viollet, the life of a legendary goalscorer”. I am very happy that you and your Team have undertaken this task in honour of your dad. I am also very proud to have been one of Dennis’s early boyhood friends, to have frequently see him play – both as a schoolboy and later as a consummate professional and star in “The Busby Babes”, before and after the tragedy at Munich Airport . Having met both you and Helen – and still in contact with Denn’s sister, Audrey, here in Sale, I have been following there progress of your enterprise with great interest, especially to learn even more of what Dennis achieved in the “second half” of his great career – when America, especially Jacksonville, recognized him as such a talented and committed Soccer pioneer and coach. I have recently joined your list of financial backers. Greetings, good luck and thanks, Rachel! Love and best wishes to you and to your mum, Helen. I hope that I may be able to meet you both again some time………….Affectionately, Eric

Hello Rachel! I was one of the many youth players who had the privilege of being coached by your father in Jacksonville at his numerous soccer camps. What I remember most about him was his incredible patience with even the youngest of players and his immense respect and kind treatment of the female players he coached. Maybe it was because he had daughters that he did this but, whatever the reason, we never felt like second class players when he was coaching us. I am very much looking forward to viewing your documentary whenever it is released to see the younger side of the man I only knew growing up as my coach.

Hi Rachel,
Hope you remember me, I’m from Manchester but lived and worked in States as a coach for past 30 years! Worked some camps with your dad in Jacksonville.
Kevin Kinley a friend of mine who played college ball for your dad just told me you had your film coming out very soon? Love to buy a copy and can’t wait to see it. Hope all is well, please give my regards to your mum who I think of fondly. Take care, Tony (Stevens).
