BRITTNEY RAYMOND | PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR
Brittney Raymond moved from Auburn, Maine to Jupiter, Florida for a position of employment with South Florida Home Care in September 2013. Brittney came to us as an already seasoned veteran in caring for seniors after an introduction to health care by her mother, Lisa, who was a CNA at the Sara Frye Home in Auburn, Maine. She started out at the age of 16 as a dietary aide, serving meals and helping out in the dining room where her natural, companionable method of assisting and guiding the residents was noticed by her superiors. As a result Brittney was encouraged to become involved in resident activities and it was here that she discovered her passion for working with the elderly. She began showing an interest in personal care and started working closely with her mother, learning the skills necessary for providing quality evening care including bathing, oral hygiene and dressing for bed. By the time Brittney was 20 years old she was working as an Activity Director and well on her way to a Bachelor’s degree in Leadership and Organizational Studies with a concentration in Gerontology from the University of Southern Maine. Brittney recently received her degree and plans on furthering her education in Geriatrics in the years to come. She currently holds the position of Patient Care Coordinator for South Florida Home Care but continually and unselfishly extends herself by orchestrating special treats for our seniors, such as personal birthday visits bringing brightly colored balloons, musicians and birthday cake along with her exuberant personality and cheerful best wishes. Although Brittney's true love is getting out and about in the community, providing "hands on" care and companionship to its aging population, she can most often be found in her office, dedicating many tireless hours to ensure the highest possible standard of care for our clients.
