Working at JASL was quite an experience. I was there for about 3 months and it didn’t take long to start feeling like a part of the JASL family. As a soon-to-be Clinical Psychologist I will and have recommended JASL as one of the places to go to get great experience conducting therapy with a variety of adults and children. My time there was always interesting, filled with new learnings and I truly felt like I was making an important contribution to society. I not only got to conduct therapy but also made presentations, sat in on group sessions and had the opportunity to attend a meeting by the Ministry of Health. I believe that all the opportunities I encountered at JASL have helped me in preparation for joining the working world and I can only hope that my work environment will be as inviting, friendly, comfortable, filled with passionate and determined employees and as giving as it is at JASL. I can definitely see myself volunteering there again in the future.

The JASL staff is incredible. They made me feel welcome from my very first day in the office. While I was there, I was able to attend weekly team meetings in which each team member discussed what they had accomplished and what they planned on doing in the upcoming week. I looked forward to these meetings most of all because it was such a comfortable environment during which ideas, thoughts, and feelings flowed freely. Everyone that works at JASL is so passionate about their work and I feel truly honored to have been a part of the team for that brief period. JASL does such wonderful things for the community and I wish the staff and everyone they work with all the best in the future.
