The Ground has Diss’ only all-weather floodlit athletics training facility. Diss Athletics Club provides an opportunity for anyone aged between 8 and 65+ to get involved in athletics. Click here to find out more!
The Sports Ground is also home to Scole Lads Football Club.
It is available for private hire for sporting and recreational purposes. Its enclosed nature make it an ideal venue for fundraising events and private parties for children or adults in the Pavilion. The nearby ‘Chimpo’ Skate Park is open from 8am till dusk every day for skateboarders and BMX riders. This Park is named in memory of a local young man, James “Chimpo” Halil – a friend of many of the young people involved in the project – who was killed in a road accident in 2003. It was funded by Diss Town Council, Roydon Parish Council, Diss Surveyors Allotment Charities, South Norfolk Council and La Rue Skateboard and BMX Club.
