Supacat, the acclaimed UK designer and manufacturer of special forces vehicles, is exhibiting at the Netherlands Industries for Defence and Security (NIDV) Symposium and Exhibition on Thursday 30 November 2017. Having recently been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise (International Trade, for Outstanding Short-Term Growth), the NIDV event forms part of a global marketing effort aimed to capitalise on recent export successes.

Endeavor Robotics, the U.S.-based global leader in tactical ground robotics, recently delivered 44 FirstLook robots to the German Government after a highly competitive bid process. Endeavor bested the other competitors’ offerings after successfully passing field tests that compared FirstLook’s performance capabilities against the German Government’s stated requirements.

According a statement released by the DICOD (French Army Press Services) on November 29, 2017, the French army has take delivery of a first batch of 20 firing posts and 50 missiles MMP (Missile Moyenne Portée – Medium-Range Missile). The MMP includes a fifth generation of surface-to-surface missile using fire-and-forget technology.

Czech optical specialist Meopta will support vital line-of-sight technology for BAE Systems’ CV90 Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) as part of a Memorandum of Understanding with defence and security company Saab. The agreement, signed at NATO Days 2017 in Ostrava, the Czech Republic, will cover potential local production of key components for the CV90’s fire control system, of which Meopta and Saab are subcontractors.

According a footage release by the Oman National TV, Omani land forces have take delivery of first PARS III 8x8 armoured vehicles designed and manufactured by the Turkish Company FNSS. The PARS III wheeled armoured vehicle was showcased for the first time during the International Defense Exhibition IDEF which was held in May 2017 in Istanbul, Turkey.

The Djibouti Logistic Support Base of the Chinese People's Liberation Army conducted a live-fire exercise with combat vehicles including the ZTL-11 fire support armoured vehicle and ZBL-09 wheeled IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle). Several wheeled tank destroyers and infantry fighting vehicles from the base in the Horn of Africa took part in the military exercise at a local shooting range and fired dozens of ammunition.

On November 10, 2017, the press service of the Rwandan president Paul Kagame has released a picture showing the use of RM-70 122 MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) manufactured in Czech Republic and the Chinese-made PLZ-89 122mm tracked self-propelled howitzers used by the armed forces of Rwanda during a live firing military exercise.

First public appearance of American-made Bradley M2A2 tracked IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle) of Lebanese army at the rehearsal of military parade for the Independence Day of Lebanon which takes place every year November 22. In August 2017, United States has officially delivered Bradley M2A2 to the Lebanese Armed Forces.

The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl), together with the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) and the U.S. Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) demonstrated unmanned trucks formed into driverless convoys, unmanned aerial vehicles, and a robotic all-terrain 4x4 steered via a remote tele-operator, British and American soldiers. As a result, the Coalition Assured Autonomous Resupply (CAAR) demonstration showed initial capability in unmanned tactical resupply incorporating a combined line-haul convoy, autonomous ‘last-mile’ ground and air capabilities.

Russia is implementing a contract for the supplies of T-90S main battle tanks (MBTs) to Iraq, the press office of the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation (FSVTS) told TASS at Dubai Airshow 2017. The T-90S is the export version of the T-90 MBT. The first prototype of the T-90 was produced in 1989 and serial production started in 1992.

According to the website Novinite.com, the Finnish Company Patria could take part in the modernization of the Bulgarian Army by participating in the procedure for the acquisition of new armored vehicles for the Bulgarian Land Forces with its AMV 8x8 armoured vehicle. Bulgaria plans to buy 198 wheeled armoured vehicles as part of a program to modernize its armed forces.

According to the Washington Post, a senior executive of the U.S. Company Lockheed Martin said Tuesday, November 14, 2017, the company is delivering its Patriot missiles to Saudi Arabia who can also be interested to purchase the American-made THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) anti-ballistic air defense missile system.

According to the Hotnews website of Romania, German company Rheinmetall expects to sign an agreement with the Romanian government for the development of a new 8×8 armored vehicle called Agilis at Moreni in Southern Romania. The Agilis will incorporate Romanian technologies from the local-made SAUR prototypes and German Boxer 8x8 armoured vehicles.
