Whoopi Goldberg swears off EVER getting married again after three failed unions... as she weighs in on Princess Eugenie's lavish royal wedding

After three marriages that ended in divorce, she developed such an aversion to tying the knot that she released a book comically advising against it in 2015.

And Whoopi Goldberg reiterated her stance against every exchanging nuptials again on Friday, when she made an appearance on ITV's Loose Women shortly after Princess Eugenie tied the knot with Jack Brooksbank at Windsor Castle.

The 62-year-old star, who serves as moderator on Loose Women's US counterpart The View, told the panel: 'I'm not a big believer in weddings and marriage, but there’s something wonderful about seeing a couple in love and they’re in a carriage.

'There's something wonderful about that and the [royal] tradition. We don't really have those kind of things, but for us across the way there's something great about it.'

She added: 'Often if you’ve been married a long time, things change. The only way I could be married to anyone ever again is if they lived in another country, they could come and visit... I'm not cut out for it.

'I'm in my 60s. Remember how people treated women who were not married? You got treated rather poorly, they talked about it like there was something wrong.

'I think more people have discovered that it's not for them. You want to have somebody in your life saying, "Where were you?" I was curious. I don't want them asking me!

'There's something where you see and you think, "I've got to have that, I don't care what else happens this month, that is coming to my house." Then there's love, like, "Oh my goodness! Hi, like, can I talk to you?" I don't know what else to do.

'At times it leads to the same thing, which is, "I don't want to share," and that's OK to say. It's like the women who say, "I don't want to have a kid."

Oscar-winning actress Whoopi had brief marriages to Alvin Martin, David Claessen and Lyle Trachtenberg, the last of which ended in 1995 after just a year of marriage.

The comedienne and Alvin had one child together when Whoopi was 17 — a daughter named Alexandra, now 45, who has three children of her own.

In 2015, she expressed her aversion to marriage in written form, when she released the humour-filled book Whoopi's Big Book of Relationships: If Someone Says "You Complete Me," RUN!.

During her wide-ranging interview on Loose Women, Whoopi spoke of Eugenie's mother Sarah, Duchess of York, who also has 30-year-old daughter Princess Beatrice with her ex-husband Prince Andrew, Duke of York.

She said: 'All the c**p Fergie and their girls took... I'm an Anglophile, but also someone who's interested in what's going on in the world.

'She was just, "Hey let's party!" There's something wonderful about somebody who's having a good time, and for some reason it happens with women all the time.

'Whenever they're not sedate people get freaked out, whatever worked with her and her husband they raised two fun women. She's a sweet woman and I think it was a little bit different then... There's a lot of people I can go without, but I do like her.'

While much of the day's focus was on the new royal bride, Whoopi got a surprise of her own, when she was treated to a special video message from Adam Woodyatt, after Loose Women producers learned she's a huge fan of his soap EastEnders.

The actopr told her in the clip that he was 'touched' she was a fan of the show urged her to send him a message to arrange a visit to the BBC soap's Hertfordshire set.

And, given that her job on The View involves the biggest current affairs headlines of the day, she was asked by the Loose Women panellists about US President Donald Trump, of whom she's been a fierce critic since his run for the White House.

Whoopi revealed that she'd considered leaving her long-held job on The View, saying: 'We had an election and my daughter said, "Now might not be the time." I said, "Are you kidding me? I'm out!" She said, "I don't think you want to do that."'

Of her reluctance to discuss Trump away from her own show, she explained: 'You [say] something for you that's very simple. It's clear for people who know you. But when it comes back to you via Twitter... they put it in some crazy context...

'I think people are listening. What I've come to understand is people are semi-listening, and when they want to think back about what they've said... Everybody's p****d off and I'm like, "Come on. That's one of the only things we can say."'
