Ibiza Holidays

Ibiza is one of the Balearic islands, sitting pretty in the Mediterranean Sea, south-west of mainland Spain. When you think of this hugely popular destination then we’re pretty sure that clubbing is the first thing that comes to mind. But there’s so much more to an Ibiza holiday than thumping nightclubs and rowdy foam parties. The coastline is dotted with pretty coves and sandy bays in the like of Santa Eulalia, along with lush pine forests and charming whitewashed villages; and of course, you’ll find legendary nightlife in sunny resorts like Playa d’en Bossa. So whether you want to take your Ibiza holiday fast or slow, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for here.

Ibiza’s best resorts are scattered all around the coast of the island. Ibiza Town combines a historic UNESCO-listed old town with some of the best nightclubs on the island and nearby beaches within easy reach. Small friendly Es Cana is in the east and is home to Ibiza’s oldest and biggest hippy market. On the north-west coast are quiet San Antonio Bay and its buzzy neighbour San Antonio Town. For family holidays in Ibiza head to the east coast to Santa Eulalia and its broad sandy beach. Near the northernmost tip is the tranquil resort of Portinatx and its trio of beaches.

It’s impossible to resist the attraction of the sparkling waters and soft sands of the beaches here. You’ll find more than 80 of them dotted around the island, offering everything from laid-back days in the sun to pulse-racing water sports. If you’re eager to explore beyond the beaches during your holiday to ibiza you can head inland to discover exquisite whitewashed villages like San Agustin and San Juan; these stunning settlements are tucked away amid fragrant, pine-clad hills. And if you want to pick up a souvenir or two, you can always browse the handmade crafts at the famous hippy markets. We can’t forget about the clubs either; this island is home to some of the world’s wildest and most energetic parties.

The world’s top DJs make this top holiday hotspot their home for the summer, making resorts like San Antonio and Playa d’en Bossa a haven for clubbers from all over the world. Thousands of people pile into popular superclubs like Pacha, Amnesia, Space and Ushuaïa. But you’ll need to pace yourself; the party doesn’t even begin until midnight in the hottest venues. And here’s a tip: you can avoid the queues by buying your ticket online. During summer, the island also welcomes live bands to the Ibiza Rocks festivals. And don’t forget about the boat parties.

Quiet coves, chic beach bars and celebrity hotspots; you’ll find them all over the island. Beautiful scenery is part and parcel of Ibiza holidays; you can’t ignore the dramatic cliffs and pine forests hovering over the white-pebble beach at Cala Jondal on the south-west coast. This is one of the trendiest places here, but the atmosphere is totally laid back. Go celebrity-spotting at Los Salinas, where stylish beach clubs provide a lively atmosphere. Or head north to the pristine sands of Cala Xarraca, where you can sink into a healing mud bath sheltered by rocky cliffs. It’s the ultimate place to relax.

If you want to pick up the pace, why not try your hand at flyboarding? You’ll feel like James Bond as a tiny jet propels you over the water; it’s one of the most exciting things you can try during your Ibiza holiday. You can also get up close with nature by heading inland on a 4x4 safari adventure. And when it comes to family-friendly activities, they’ll love the Acrobosc Ibiza Adventure Park where they can zip-line through the forest, or scramble along the high platforms and rope bridges running between the trees.

It’s best for...

Clubbers: Join the non-stop party in one of the world’s biggest clubbing capitals; expect nothing less that top-class superclubs and big-name DJs in the resorts of San Antonio and Playa d’en Bossa.

Families: Everyone will love the sun, sea and sand in family-friendly San Eulalia, with two bustling beaches and a host of welcoming restaurants to choose from.

Scenery lovers: There’s so much to explore on this stunning island; you can cruise the western coastline while the sun sets on the horizon, or head north to discover Puerto San Miguel and Portinatx rolling hills covered in colourful wild flowers.
