Further details and templates

All papers included in the LS16 Conference Proceedings will be refereed by members of the International Scientific Committee and Local Organizing Committee to enhance the status of the Proceedings, to help ensure its inclusion in a broader range of the major scientific and technical abstracting services, and to enable authors to cite their respective contributions as “refereed conference contributions.”

We will accept papers for LS16 by online submission on the symposium website after 8th January 2018. To submit papers it is necessary to register on the EasyChair website.

Contributed Papers must be in English and should report original work, completed or in progress, that is related to the Science and Technology of Lighting. Papers should be formatted according to the template below and saved as a PDF. The length of submitted Contributed Papers, including figures and references, may be 2 (min), 4 (max) pages; the even number being requested to make efficient use of space in the printed version of the Proceedings Volume. Invited Papers are subject to maximum limits of 10 pages in length with, as above, an even total number of pages. It greatly assists the organisers if submitted papers conform to the recommended template that is available here:

Publication

A Proceedings Volume in book format (Referenced ISBN) will be published in electronic form by the conference sponsor FAST-LS. Invited, Landmark and Contributed papers will be referenced and abstracted by several of the major international scientific/engineering database organizations. Past Proceedings Volumes have proven to be valuable reference sources for people active in lighting-related science and technology.

Conference delegates will be given a USB electronic copy of the Proceedings Volume at registration together with a printed Delegate Handbook containing details of the symposium’s schedule, abstracts of all the papers in running order, and other useful information.

Printed copies of the LS16 Proceedings Volume will be available for delegates to order at a pre-publication reduced price from FAST-LS during the conference.

Just as at LS15, authors of papers accepted for inclusion in the LS16 Proceedings Volume will be invited to submit full versions of their papers for publication in an LS16 Special Issue of the Journal of the Science & Technology of Lighting (JLST is published by the Illuminating Engineering Institute of Japan). The LS15 JLST Special Issue will be available in January 2018.
