Nerd Corps Entertainment Inc. is the former name of a 3D computer animation studio located in British Columbia, Canada. Founded by former Mainframe Entertainment producers Asaph Fipke and Chuck Johnson in 2002, the company was acquired by DHX Media on December 24, 2014.[1] As of 2016, the Nerd Corps name has been phased out in favour of the generic DHX Media name.
Information[edit]
The studio is best known for producing the animated series Slugterra and Storm Hawks and League of Super Evil. They are also known for producing and developing all aspects of their television properties in-house, including promotional materials and creative services for merchandising and licensing partners.[2] On December 24, 2014, Canadian company DHX Media acquired Nerd Corps.[3] In 2016, DHX Media merged Nerd Corps with DHX Media Vancouver (formerly known as Studio B Productions) to form DHX Studios Vancouver.
