During the European Land Robot Trial (ELROB) event that was held in Belgium from 24 to 28 September 2018, the Finnish Company Patria has demonstrated a new unmanned version of a full digitalised AMV, 8x8 armored multirole vehicle. U.S. Space Command will be the U.S. military’s 11th unified combatant command, Vice President Mike Pence announced on 18 December 2018 at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. “It will serve alongside other functional commands like Strategic Command and Special Operations Command, and it will be led by a four-star flag officer,” Pence said. “It will establish unified control over all our military space operations.”

On 5 December 2018, representatives of the Federal Agency for Equipment, Information Technology and Use of the Federal Armed Forces (BAAINBw) and Krauss-Maffei Wegmann GmbH & Co. KG (KMW) signed the contract to convert 18 more rocket launchers M270 MARS in MARS II. A first batch had already been converted in 2013.
