The Finnish Defense Company Patria has successfully completed swimming tests with its latest genration of 8x8 armoured vehicle, the AMV28A in the end of May in Finland.
The Finnish Defense Company Patria has successfully completed swimming tests with its latest generation of 8x8 armoured vehicle, the AMV28A in the end of May in Finland. With a total weight of 28 tonnes the vehicle swam without difficulties, as expected. Patria AMV28A, where 28A stands for 28 tonnes GVW amphibious (sea-stage 3) vehicle, is the latest member of Patria AMV product family, introduced at IDEX 2017 event earlier this year.

The VERBA 9K333 is the next generation of MANPADS (Man Portable Air Defense System) designed and manufactured in Russia by the Company KBM (Konstruktorskoye Byuro Mashinostroyeniya).

This is a new product from the Kurgan Machine-Building Plant (Kurganmashzavod). Expert Sergei Cherkasov writes about this in newspaper Military Industrial Courier.

The Ministry of Defense is re-equipping the 35th Air Defense Missile Brigade of the 36th Combined-Arms Army in Ulan-Ude with the latest high-mobility Buk-M3 multifunctional medium-range SAM systems. These systems are designed to intercept complex air targets: enemy UAVs, cruise and theater ballistic missiles, planes and helicopters.

In the first quarter of 2017, Austria’s Federal Ministry of the Interior ordered 580 VarioRay laser light module sets for Cobra, the country’s crack counter-terrorism unit. Worth over €1 million, the order is now in the delivery phase.
