Dinkoism, a mock religion established by a group of rationalists in Kerela in 2008, aims to ridicule the absurdity of blind religious faith.

The Dinkoists worship a fictional mouse called Dinkan, a native of a fictional Pankila forest, which was chalked out for a children's magazine series from 1983 to 2012. The comic which is called Balamangalam is the holy book of the Dinkoist.

The core principle of Dinkoism or Dinkamatham is to pose a satire on all existing religious practices around the world.

In the comic, Dinkan the mouse, who is the main protagonist possesses supernatural powers and uses it to save those in danger.

They also believe that the world was formed when Lord Dinkan was eating a Cassava. When he let out a laugh out of boredom, that is what caused the formation of time of space. Thus, replacing the Big Bang Theory with Lord Dinkan's Big Laughter concept.

Dinkoism is mainly inspired by a mock religious faith called Pastafarianism, which also has a flying spaghetti monster as a God. They have  their own holy book, symbols, priest and parodies of devotional songs.

A YouTube channel called Epified produced a video explaining everything you need to know about Dinkoism in 60 seconds:

Besides their main aim to reinstate the idea of tolerance and rationality in all religious groups, the Dinkoists also work towards gender equality, women empowerment and protecting the environment.

In an interview with Scroll.in  Kozhikode district collector Prashant Nair said, "Dinkoism is a religion where you learn to take things lightly and become tolerant to things that you don't appreciate otherwise. Dinkoists use humour to send the message. Humour is something that everybody appreciates. Therefore, it makes sense to promote this religion."

This mock religion is not just popular in Kerala, it has spread around the world. Their official Facebook page has more than 7000 followers.

In the video below Amy Watson from US, explains why Dinkoism is the best faith faith and the most woman friendly religion in the world.
