General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS) announced today the acquisition of FWW Fahrzeugwerk GmbH, a qualified maintenance and service provider for the Bundeswehr (German army) and other international customers. FWW will become part of the newly-established General Dynamics European Land Systems – Deutschland, located in Berlin.

Russian engineering troops have received the newest BMR-3MA route clearance vehicles (RCV), the Russian Defense Ministry said. "The military units of engineering troops of the Russian Armed Forces have received modern armored BMR-3MA route clearance vehicles. The manufacturing plant has handed over six such RCVs to the Russian Defense Ministry," the ministry said.

The Lithuanian Defense Ministry announced on November 28 the awarding of a tender contract to upgrade 22 M577A2 command post vehicles, a variant of the M113 APC. The upgrade will be undertaken by Germany's FFG Flensburger Fahrzeugbau Gesellschaft following the company's down-select under a tender organized by the NATO Support Agency (NSPA). The cost of upgrading the tracked command posts amounted to roughly €1.5 million ($1.7 million). FFG will involve local Lithuanian company UAB Autokurtas in the upgrade program.

Lockheed Martin received a $6.9 million award from the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center (NSRDEC) to enhance the ONYX exoskeleton for future soldier demonstrations. Onyx is a powered, lower-body exoskeleton with artificial intelligence (AI) technology that augments human strength and endurance.

Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (SUAS) training facility opened its doors on Nov. 5 for Marines stationed in the Pacific region. Training and Logistics Support Activity (TALSA) PAC is located at Marine Corps Base (MCB) Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, and managed by the Navy and Marine Corps Small Tactical Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program Office (PMA-263), located at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland. It is the third of this kind of facility dedicated to SUAS training and logistics.

Elbit Systems launches HattoriX, a new man-packed fire support system that, for the first time, enables forward observers (FO) and similarly tasked tactical teams to passively, rapidly and independently acquire Category 1 (CAT-1) targets (Target Location error of few a meters). Operational with an undisclosed client, HattoriX introduces a step change in the effectiveness of target acquisition at the tactical level as it demonstrably both improves survivability and increases the effectiveness of engaging Time Sensitive Targets (TST) while reducing collateral damage.

Oshkosh Defense company, announced today that the U.S. Army has placed a $1.69 billion order for 6,107 Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTV) and associated installed and packaged kits. Today’s delivery order marks the tenth order under the contract that was awarded to Oshkosh in August 2015.

The U.S. State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Qatar of defense articles and services in support of a Direct Commercial Sale of the National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System (NASAMS) for an estimated cost of $215 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale.

The Airborne Force selects the best young scientists and engineers to serve in the scientific-production company, the force said. "Close to 20 graduates from leading Russian technical institutes and certified young engineers will be selected soon to man the first scientific-production company of the Airborne Force," it said.

Representatives of Latvia have tested the model "GTP 4x4", which won against the AM General “Humwee”, “Marauder LAV” and Turkish Otokar “Cobra".

The Slovenian Ministry of Defense has implemented the procedure to buy 38 Oshkosh Defense JLTV tactical vehicles decided during the previous government's mandate. Last week, an agreement was signed between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Slovenia and the Government of the United States. The AM General Humvees currently in service in the Slovenian Armed Forces become too old. Too much maintenance is needed, which is too expensive.

Saab has received an order for deliveries of the new Carl-Gustaf® M4 multi-role weapon system to the Slovenian Armed Forces. Deliveries will take place during 2018-2020. Slovenia is a new customer of the Carl-Gustaf system, and Saab’s ninth customer for the Carl-Gustaf M4 version since its launch in late 2014.

Lithuanian Defense Minister Raimundas Karoblis announced on 22 November that the country plans to acquire L-ATV combat multi-role vehicles from the USA. According to Leta.lv citing the Lithuanian Defense Minister, it is anticipated that the L-ATV (JLTV) contract will be signed in 2020 and will cost $114 million (Euro 100 million).

The sole offer in a procurement of the Estonian Centre for Defence Investments (ECDI) for the purchase of a long-range antitank system for Estonia was made by the German company Eurospike GmbH. According to a requirement set by Estonia, the weapons system must have a range of at least 4,000m.

According to the Belarusian military television and radio company VoenTV, the mechanized units of the Belarusian army has received 10 T-72B3 tanks. The solemn ceremony took place on November 22, 2018 on the territory of the 120th Mechanized Brigade in Minsk.

The Russia-Singapore Business Council (RSBC) and the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF), representing the interests of the country's manufacturing companies, have signed a cooperation agreement. The parties have agreed to expand the multilateral cooperation between companies of the two states, primarily Rostec's enterprises, in high technology areas that are most relevant for the Singaporean partners.
