Rachel McAdams, 40, looks slender in overalls seven months after welcoming baby... as she gets $73 parking ticket during grocery run

She likes to wear couture gowns when on the red carpet.

But in real life, Rachel McAdams is much more casual as she proved on Thursday during a run to a grocery store.

The Wedding Crashers actress wore a pair of denim overalls as she picked up groceries in Los Angeles, carrying to recyclable green bags from M Cafe. Too bad the beauty, 40, also got a parking ticket.

The average parking ticket in Los Angeles is $73.

The Mean Girls vet also had on a white T-shirt and black boots with sunglasses on. The cover girl also went makeup free for her day of errands and her hair was pulled back into a messy updo.

A red cross body purse by Madewell looked no-nonsense.

And she carried with her a red smoothie, which are often made with beets, spinach, avocado and cucumber.

M Cafe is an organic restaurant. There are three locations in Southern California: Venice Beach, Santa Monica and the West Hollywood area.

The beauty was not with her son, whom she welcomed in April. A name has yet to be shared. And her partner, writer Jamie Linden, could not be seen.

In December she posed for a powerful image during a shoot for Girls Girls Girls magazine, being pictured while wearing two breast milk pumps.

The actress was dripping in Bvlgari diamonds and had on Versace clothing. She was aiming to break certain motherhood taboos in society.

While a lot is being done to normalize breastfeeding, there is still a long way to go.

And the juxtaposition of Rachel's glam red-lipped sexy look combined with the notion of motherhood is an important one.

Magazine founder, Claire Rothstein shared the Instagram image and wrote a lovely and impassioned comment to go alongside it.

She typed: 'Just sharing this image from my account which I think encapsulates @girls.girls.girls.magazine and what we stand for...

'A million reasons why I wanted to post this picture.

'Obviously #rachelmcadams looks incredible and was quite literally the dream to work with but also this shoot was about 6 months post her giving birth to her son, so between shots she was expressing/pumping as still breastfeeding.

We had a mutual appreciation disagreement about who’s idea it was to take this picture but I’m still sure it was hers which makes me love her even more.'

Claire continued: 'Breastfeeding is the most normal thing in the world, like breathing and I can’t for the life of me imagine why or how it is ever frowned upon or scared of.

@ClaireRothstein magazine founder here 👋🏼 just sharing this image from my account which I think encapsulates @girls.girls.girls.magazine and what we stand for...👠 “A million reasons why I wanted to post this picture. I don’t even think it needs explaining but just wanted to put this out there, as if it even changes one person’s perception of something so natural, so normal, so amazing then that’s great. Besides she’s wearing Versace and @bulgariofficial diamonds and is just fucking major. Rachel welcomed her son in April with her screenwriter boyfriend Linden but is yet to disclose his name, wishing to 'keep his life private, even if hers isn't.'

She told the Sunday Times: 'It’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me, hands down.

'[People say] your life is not your own any more. But I had 39 years of me, I was sick of me, I was so happy to put the focus on some other person.'
