Saab lands $121mn order from Switzerland for NLAW anti-tank weapon systems
 
The Swedish defence and security company Saab has received an order from the Swiss Federal Office for Defence Procurement, armasuisse, for deliveries of the Next generation Light Anti-Tank Weapon system (NLAW) to the Swiss Army. The order value amounts to BSEK 1.035 (US$121 mn) with deliveries during the period 2018-2021.

Belgium approves Griffon and Jaguar armored vehicles acquisition plan
 
The Belgian Council of Ministers yesterday gave its green light to a proposal of the Defense Minister Steven Vandeput for launching the acquisition of France-made armored vehicles. Under a 1.2bn program, Belgium plans to purchase 60 Jaguar EBRC combat and reconnaissance vehicles and 417 Griffon VBMR multirole armored vehicles.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has deployed a regiment of the newest 9K331M Tor-M2U SAM systems in the Rostov region. These systems are capable of destroying drones, airplanes and helicopters while on the move. Under certain conditions, these systems will cope even with such complex targets like precision-guided missiles and bombs. The new military unit became part of the newly formed 150th Motorized Rifle Division, the newspaper Izvestia reported.

Singapore Army unveils new tracked ARV Armoured Recovery Vehicle at Open House 2017
 
During its Open House 2017, Singapore army has unveiled a new prototype of Armoured Recovery Vehicle (ARV) that will support the Next Generation of AFV (Armoured Fighting Vehicle). Both combat vehicles are under development by the Defence Science and Technology Agency and Singapore Technologies Kinetics, which was awarded the contract for the AFV by the Ministry of Defence in March.
