The Fonz has still got it! Henry Winkler, 73, performs Happy Days dance without breaking a sweat... 45 years after the show went off the air

Henry Winkler is still in excellent shape, which he proved on Tuesday evening.

After hugging Jimmy Fallon on the The Tonight Show set, the 73-year-old icon immediately went into his Fonz dance, which was made popular on his hit TV series Happy Days.

Fallon was appropriately impressed by the veteran and commented, 'What an entrance - the audience certainly got their money's worth.'

Happy Days ran from 1974 until 1984 and was a massive prime-time hit with Ron Howard (now an Oscar-winning director), Marion Ross and Tom Bosley in lead roles.

One of the main characters was The Fonz, who was a streetwise lady killer known for his black leather motorcycle jacket and slicked-back hair.

The character, whose full name is Arthur Fonzarelli, brought a dash of bad boy to the series about an all-American family in the 1950s.

And during the series Winkler often performed a quick dance that involved a lot of fancy footwork.

Incredibly, 45 years after the show ended, Henry can still skillfully pull off the dance moves like kicks and jumps.

The Tonight Show played the song Hava Nagila, an Israeli folk song traditionally sung at Jewish celebrations, as soon as Henry arrive for his chat.

Henry did not seem to break even a tiny sweat as he hopped around in his dark suit and dress shoes.

During his interview, the actor talked about how he first met Jimmy at a party thrown by Andy Cohen.

Winkler said the TV host was standing with his 'beautiful wife' Nancy Juvonen - who grew up in Marin County, California and has worked as a producing partner to Drew Barrymore - when they met.

Henry's visit comes after winning an Emmy for his show Barry.

'I have been nominated many many times but I never left the chair,' said Henry.

He said when he walked up onto the Emmy stage he saw the two stars of the Crown and started talking to them about the show when he realized he had to make a speech.

And then the clock started ticking, making him nervous.

Henry said he leaves his Emmy not on the mantle but rather on his dining room table, which is opposite the front door. That way everyone can see it, even delivery men.

'Now I am having a chain made so I can wear my Emmy as a necklace, I have no pride,' he joked.
