CLASSIFICATION OF SUBJECTS FOR VARIOUS MINISTRIES FOR ANSWERING QUESTIONS IN RAJYA SABHA

PREFACE

The last edition of Subject Pamphlet providing for Classification of Subjects for various Ministries for answering Questions in the Rajya Sabha was issued in the year 2014. Till 2014 edition, the Subject Pamphlet was being brought out both in hard and soft copy forms. However, from now onwards the Classification of Subjects will be periodically updated and brought out in soft copy form only.

The present edition of the Pamphlet with changed title ‘Classification of Subjects for various Ministries for Answering Questions in Rajya Sabha’ has been brought up-to-date on the basis of the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961 which has been published by Cabinet Secretariat as amended up to 17th October,2018.

The purpose of uploading of the Classification of Subjects on the Rajya Sabha Website is to facilitate the Members of Raya Sabha in addressing their notices of questions to the appropriate Ministry/Department.
