Dorit Kemsley gave up TWO adopted dogs and Real Housewives star STILL hasn't paid $5k fine after one pup ended up in a kill shelter, furious Vanderpump Dogs partner reveals
She's certainly in the doghouse.
Dorit Kemsley gave up not one, but two dogs she adopted through Vanderpump Dogs, the foundation's executive director Dr. John Sessa revealed on Tuesday.
Kemsley, 42, is at the center of drama during this season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after a pup she adopted was found in a kill shelter weeks after the reality star refused to return follow-up calls about the dog. The mother-of-two had attempted to re-homed the pet, called Lucy, after it bit members of her family.
Now it has emerged that Dorit had previously adopted another pet pooch called Madison from the foundation before returning it, again claiming it had bitten a member of her family.

When asked about Dorit and Lucy the dog, John explained on the On the Rocks podcast: 'Here's something else that no one else knows: This is the second dog that Dorit had returned to us, or rather, given up.'

He gave more background into the situation, saying: 'So Dorit adopted the dog. She loved the dog, Madison. And a week later, two weeks later, she says, 'I'm sorry, it's just not gonna work out with the family. The dog is biting my family. Similar to what she said the second time around. I'm not sure what happened. I did see there was a photo with bite marks on PK's nose. So the first dog, we take back.'
Sessa then detailed how Dorit was guided through a second dog adoption with the help of coordinator Hannah Bortz who 'spent three weeks training Dorit on how to take care of the dog.'

After weeks of attempted check-ins on the dog, a shelter contacted the Vanderpump Dogs' hotline to report they had one of their microchipped dogs and Sessa was devastated to find out it was Lucy.
Part of the adoption stipulates a $5,000 fine on the contract signed by adoptees to protect the animal from being placed with another family, a document Kemsley signed but has yet to pay up.
'This is what upsets me,' he said. 'Everyone thinks Lisa planted this, but ... This is reality meeting real world.'

He explained the difficulty in staying quiet during filming as to not upset any of the cast members while they were on scene at Vanderpump's rescue agency.
'And honestly, I'm not going to because how am I supposed to be an executive director, doctor of international business for a foundation that is international—we're in six countries—and I'm supposed to say, "Oh, when something bad happens and it involves a celebrity, we just push that under the rug." It doesn't work that way.'
Sessa revealed that the foundation has adopted more than 850 animals since its inception and this situation has never occurred.

Animal lover: 'This is what upsets me,' he said. 'Everyone thinks Lisa planted this, but ... This is reality meeting real world'
And with disagreements stemming between Vanderpump and her husband Ken, who's best friends with Dorit's husband PK, Sessa frequently reminded the Vanderpump's that he is the animal's advocate despite any form of friendships surrounding the animal.
'Lisa was very torn,' he said. 'She was torn between her friends, and she was torn between me. I'm the mentor to all these young, budding philanthropists, saying, "We have to be so strict with these things." So how am I going to take my responsibility down and say, "No, it's Dorit from Real Housewives, so we have to ignore all of our procedures.''
Defending his decision to fight for Lucy and her treatment, Sessa will not stand for any harsh words against his actions protecting the animal and the foundation.
'So now I'm getting called out by everybody,' he said. 'And I don't appreciate Lisa Rinna saying, '"She should quell her boys." I'm a 40-year-old man who has his doctorate in international business, and I'm not her employee.'
Sessa and Vanderpump have worked together for years advocating for dogs, and are both outspoken opponent of China's Yulin Dog Meat Festival.
