Rita Ora plays a lovesick club singer and fifties style waitress in emotional video for Only Want You... amid split from Andrew Garfield

She's newly single after splitting from Hollywood actor Andrew Garfield after a four month romance.

And in a case of art mirroring life, Rita Ora's new music video sees the star play a series of characters experiencing love woes.

After the release of her new single, 'Only Want You' (Feat. 6LACK) last Friday, Rita revealed the official music video on Thursday, which sees the singer embody three different versions of herself.

The music video borrows a 1950s aesthetic, with Rita dressed to the nines in an elegant dress as a club singer, a star hounded by the paparazzi and a classic diner waitress.

The video opens with Rita speaking to a friend on the phone as she laments missing her pal's baby's first smile before heading into a diner to relax.

There she's tracked down by the paps before being helped out of the back door by the diner waitress.

The video then cuts to the waitress, played by Rita, as she puts up with a groping boss and bad tips.

Next up Rita appears as a glam club singer getting ready for a performance before belting out Only Want You on stage.

The waitress version of Rita discovers the club night card left for her at the diner and tracks down her singing alter ego for an emotional final scene.

Rita says of the stunning visuals: 'I had so much fun making this video, and I can't wait to share it with you all. This was one of my favourite tracks on the album and having 6LACK jump on the song has been really special.'

It has been an exciting time for Rita, with the success of her platinum-selling album Phoenix released last year, breaking music records.

But in her personal life the star is weathering a split from actor Andrew, reportedly prompted by his desire for a 'more private life.'

The singer, 28, is said to be devastated by his decision to end their relationship after just four months, yet a source told MailOnline that their split was 'amicable'.

A separate source told The Sun: 'Rita is cut up about the whole situation. Andrew split up with her recently and it’s been hard going as they had spent a lot of time together.

'They spent Christmas together and she thought things were going well between them.'

'Her career is going from strength to strength and lives her life in the spotlight but he told her he wanted to lead a more private life.

'Rita had tried to do that and had kept their romance off social media but things didn’t work out.'

The reported split is exacerbated by Rita currently being on the other side of the world in Australia, where she launched her Phoenix World Tour in Melbourne on March 1.

Meanwhile Andrew has sparked dating rumours with actress and comedienne Aisling Bea, 34, as they were spotted watching a performance of hit musical Hamilton together at London’s Victoria Palace Theatre this week.
