Counting On: Abbie finds the perfect sparkly wedding gown as the Duggars set up a pop-up dress shop at their home

Abbie Burnett was shown picking her dream wedding dress in a pop-up 'shop' set up in the Duggars' home on Monday's Counting On.

The 26-year-old decided to use Miss Renee – the designer used by Jinger, Joy and Kendra – to make her perfect gown to wed John David Duggar.

But with just 25 days before the big day, she felt too rushed to go to Kentucky – with her future sisters-in-law instead setting up a makeshift wedding gown shop so the designer could come to them.

In scenes shot before the November 2018 ceremony, the Duggars' Arkansas house was packed full of female relatives, with Abbie's mom and sisters flying in to join the numerous Duggar girls.

'It really reminded me of a real wedding dress shop,' Abbie said, with the dresses on mannequins in front of a huge mirror.

'The Duggar girls are real wedding experts so I'm happy to have their thoughts and opinions.'

'I told Miss Renee what I wanted and I just kind of left it with her,' she said. 'I'm a little nervous. I'm hoping that I'll find the right one.'

Despite being 'stressed' about the wedding, she insisted she had not given much thought to the dress.

Asked what he wanted to see in the dress, John David smiled as he said: 'I would love to see Abbie in a wedding dress.'

Abbie then tried on several options, standing on a pedestal to look in the mirror and allow the other women a clear view.

The first one had too much lace, and the second was rejected for its dark pink color, with her mom Cheryl joking: 'Great for the bridesmaids.'

She instantly loved the third option – with the happy oohs and sighs leaving Abbie realizing, 'Wow, they like this one.'

However, she admitted she was 'concerned' that there was not enough sparkle, saying: 'It's really close to the wedding. We don't have time to make another one.'

Instead, the designer added a simple 'sparkle skirt,' with Abbie saying: 'The whole thing just shimmered. It was gorgeous.'

While she tried on others, she soon went back for a second try of the same dress, again admitting: 'I love this dress.'

'I love her smile, she's just glowing,' Renee said, asking to call the dress 'the Abbie.'

Abbie blushed when the veil was added and she was handed flowers, with the designer telling her: 'You can get married now – you have a dress.'

'I haven't cried at any daughter's wedding, but I'm afraid I might at this one,' her mom Cheryl said.

'When they grow up, you're hoping they can find their spouse for life, and it's a good thing. We're happy for her and glad to see her spread her wings.'

Abbie admitted to 'bittersweet' feelings over the fast-approaching wedding, saying: 'I have been really close with my parents and my siblings, so it will be a little different moving to Arkansas, moving away from my family.

'I'm a little bit of a homebody. I lived at home for 26 years, so it will be a big change ... but a good change.'

Jessa, meanwhile, insisted they would leave the large mirror there ready for the 'next bride,' saying: 'You never know who's gonna make the next big announcement.'
