- AIRPORT PICK UP

Reception at the airport in Calama and transfer to San Pedro de Atacama, accommodation at the selected hotel.In the afternoon biking to Cejar Lagoon.

This excursion is just perfect for outdoor lovers. We leave San Pedro de Atacama biking 18 kilometers towards the Atacama Salt Flat, following a road that goes along Solor and Poconche Ayllus, We get into the flat with impressive 360° views. Cejar lagoon is a system of lagoons in the northern area of the Atacama Salt ­flat, where the existence of this particular ecosystem is due to the proximity of the underground rives with waters coming from the high peak of the Andes. Due the great amount of salt concentration, people can not only fl­oat in the water, but cannot sink. This turns this excursion an experience you will never forget. After enjoying the time in the lagoon we will head back to the hotel by car.

- TREKKING TO GUATIN

After breakfast we will start the excursion to Guatin.

HikingGuatin- Punta del Inca.

Distance: 4.5 kms

This walk starts in the small location of Guatin, where the Vilama River begins. This last one comes from the Puritama hot springs bringing minerals and different substratum with it.  At this point the Vilama River converges with the Puripica River; this last one brings cold water coming from the Andes range forming a unique ecosystem in this arid place. Along the walk we can find impressive Cardon cactus (EchinopsisAtacamensis) some of them are between 400 and 500 years old and 7 meters height. This River is an important part of the water resource of San Pedro de Atacama, not only for the human consumption but for the irrigation of the Ayllus. This hiking is one of those you cannot miss in San Pedro; it is perfect for the acclimation and observation of the foothill Fauna and Flora. At midday return to the Hotel. Lunch at the hotel

PM: Moon Valley

PM: 4×4 Moon Valley and Death Valley.

Altitude: 2.500 m.a.s.l

Distance average: 50 kms

We leave San Pedro heading towards the Salt Range, the place where the Death Valley and the ­Flamingoes National Reserve are located (the Moon Valley area). Within this geological formation we can see different attractions such as: The Salt Caves: they are in the strata deformation of the Salt Range, the Tres Marias: sculptures which are naturally formed because of the erosion and weathering of the salt rocks that composed them and, the Big Dune: eolic deposits of medium and smooth sand grains, it has an average height of 2.616 masl, however, it is estimated that its height has descended almost four meters because of the strong earthquake in 2007, added to the erosion produced by the hundreds of visitors who visit to the place.
