Retained List Confirmed

8 May 2017

Preston North End have confirmed their retained list for 2017 for those players out of contract this summer.

Jermaine Beckford, Anders Lindegaard and Clive Smith will leave the club at the end of their contracts.

Beckford, who played a crucial part in Preston North End's return to the Championship, departs after making 60 appearances for the Lilywhites, but it is his performance at Wembley that stands out after scoring a hat-trick to seal a 4-0 win in the Play-Off Final in 2015.

After joining the club on a permanent basis at the start of the season, Danish goalkeeper Lindegaard went onto make ten first team appearances this campaign, the last coming in October 2016 against Newcastle United.

Smith departs after spending the second half of the season on loan at St Johnstone where he has made two starts for the Scottish Premier League side.

Loan players Aiden McGeady, Alex Baptiste, Simon Makienok and Tyias Browning all return to their parent clubs at the end of their loan spells with club.

The Lilywhites have taken up an option in Mathew Hudson's contract, meaning the goalkeeper's stay at Deepdale has been extended by a further year until the end of next season.

Preston North End would like to thank all of the players who will leave the club for their efforts and commitment during their time at Deepdale and wish them all success in the future.
