At IDEX 2019, the International Defense Exhibition in Abu Dhabi, Inkas Vehicles LLC, an international armored and security vehicles manufacturer based in United Arab Emirates presents latest generation of APC (Armored Personnel Carrier) in the Titan family including the Titan-DS SWAT and the Titan-DS 4x4 APC, booth vehicles was also demonstrated in live demonstration during IDEX 2019.

During IDEX 2019, the International Defense Exhibition in abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates has announced a contract with the Company Al Jasoor Heavy Vehicle, a joint venture between Heavy Vehicles industries (HVI) and Otokar Land systems UAE, for the purchase of ARMA 8x8 armored vehicles for an amount of US $661 million.

As the Chinese manufacturer already did at IQDEX 2018 in Baghdad, NORINCO displayed its Red Arrow 10 antitank guided missiles (ATGM), also referred to as HJ-10, in their canisters on a VN1 8x8 APC. Unlike the HJ-10A ATGM system unveiled by the Chinese manufacturer during the Zhuhai Air Show in 2016, the HJ-10A ATGM system exhibited uses the export version on a VN-1 8x8 chassis (export version of Chinese ZBL-09).

While displaying its Hawkei NGPV (New-Generation Protected Vehicle), Thales Australia confirmed the vehicle is now in production for the Australian army, 70 units having already been delivered. The full-rate production will start by the end of 2019, a few months late on initial schedule. 1,100 units (plus 1,000 associated trailers) are to be delivered to the Australian army by 2021.

Prince Sultan Defense Studies and Research Center (PSDSARC) from Saudi Arabia was present at IDEX 2019 to present its SH-01, a vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) Unmanned Aerial System (UAS), designed for surveillance, reconnaissance and transport applications. The system is able to takeoff as well from land as ships.

Given the rise of asymmetric threats targeting military and critical infrastructure, reinforcing assets with actionable intelligence is a must. At IDEX 2019, Rheinmetall was highlighting its status as a leading supplier of command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, targeting, acquisition and reconnaissance (C4ISTAR) capabilities with its groundbreaking Rheinmetall Command and Control Software (RC2S). This software is fully integrated with the Vingtaqs II, the Fieldranger Multi-weapon station, and the Argus soldier system – to name just a few – for optimized military operations.

National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) from Taiwan participates once again in the International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX). This time, NCSIST deliberately selects 25 exhibition items to reach out to the Eurasian area in the hope of attracting the attention of worldwide competitors and potential partners.

Airport operators, armed forces and organisers of major events are rightly concerned about the threat from cheaply-available commercial drones, also known as Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) or Remotely-Piloted Aerial Systems (RPAS). Leonardo is emerging as a leader in the domain following reports that the Company’s ‘Falcon Shield’ system was brought in to secure London’s Gatwick and Heathrow airports when they were targeted by drones in December and January.

One of the main exhibits of Rostec State Corporation at IDEX-2019 was the 57mm gun which can be mounted on aircraft. The designer is the Burevestnik Central Research Institute of Uralvagonzavod, Rostec said: "The AU-220M combat module is an artillery gun which can be integrated into any platform, including assault aircraft and warships".

At IDEX 2019, the International Defense Exhibition in United Arab Emirates, International Armored Group (IAG), one of the largest privately owned armored vehicle manufacturers in the world unveils three new armored vehicles specifically designed for the modern military and law enforcement units including the Guardian Xtreme 4x4 MRAP, the RILA 315 4x4 MRAP and the Blast & Ballistic Certified Toyota Land Cruiser 200.

Star Defense Logistics & Engineering (SDLE) was exhibitor, for the third consecutive time, at the International Defense Exhibition (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi. SDLE showcased its new unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) for security indoor operations, in addition to its full range of unmanned aerial vehicles and its antidrone system for threats detection and inhibition.

On the occasion of the IDEX 2019, Nexter exposes an armed variant of the Optio range. Combining Milrem's "THeMIS" remote control platform and a Nexter remote-controlled 20mm turret, Optio-X20 will help preserve the lives of soldiers in high-intensity combat or when used in a hostile environment and provide the combat group with means of observation and fire support operated remotely under the control of the human operator.

At IDEX 2019, TRB (Tehnicki Remont Bratunac) from Republika Srpska presented some of their products, such as the RS9 Vampire or the Despot 4x4 armored vehicle. The Despot is a multi-purpose, highly protected off-road 4x4 armored vehicle, jointly developed by TRB and the Government of Republic of Srpska, and was revealed on the National Day of Republic of Srpska - 09 January 2019.

Excalibur Army (Czech Republic) showcased its Dronebuster Block 3 at IDEX 2019. The Dronebuster is a tool for security teams and first responders to use during fluid, ambiguous, fast-paced encounters. The system is available through a joint project of Excalibur Army and TAG Global Systems.

The next generation protection system ASPIS was one of the few real and very promising innovations revealed during the show – just one of the reason for the major interest of the international decision makers in the defense world. International Delegations guided by high level staff officers and international blue chips of the Defense Industry found their answers in the new holistic and modular protection system of EODH SA.

The Rheinmetall Fieldranger family features an impressive array of modular remotely controlled weapon stations (RCWS) for modern combat vehicles. Minerva Special Purpose Vehicles (MSPV) specialises in light-armoured vehicles for both tactical and non-tactical military applications. The company’s wide product range includes armoured sport utility vehicles (SUVs) and sedans, customised trucks, buses and vans, as well as tactical vehicles for the military, border control, civil defence and non-governmental organisations (NGOs). The UAE company is obviously present at IDEX in Abu Dhabi.

Successful air defence demands a holistic approach. As Europe’s foremost maker of military systems and equipment, Rheinmetall’s approach involves networking all relevant sensors, effectors and C4I assets into a single, scalable “system of systems”. This creates a highly effective, modular and flexible ground-based air defence system covering the full mission spectrum. Here the Düsseldorf-based high-tech group is cooperating closely with America’s Raytheon.

Mercedes-Benz will present its exhibition programme at IDEX 2019 from 17 to 21 February 2019 as part of the German joint stand, stand number 09-A21. On show there will be selected examples from the broad Mercedes-Benz Arocs, Zetros and Unimog logistics vehicle portfolios, as well as Sprinter and G-Class models. The vehicles together with their various bodies and conversions show configurations suited to the requirements of customers from different public authorities and security organisations.

At IDEX 2019, Caracal presents its CMP9 submachine gun. Caracal International is the region's leading original equipment manufacturer (OEM) small arms producer with a portfolio including the latest technolog of 9mm striker-fired combar pistol, 9mm submachine gun in standard, compact oor supressed versions, three tactical rifle platforms and three modular sniper rifles. Their weapons are all original design nad have been developed in-house for use by civilian, law enforcement and military operators.
