Jack Fincham has revealed that he has split from girlfriend Dani Dyer and that they are 'not in a relationship anymore'.

The Love Island star, 26, took to his Instagram stories on Wednesday night to share a heartfelt statement about his break-up with Danny Dyer's daughter, 23.

Jack, who won the hit ITV2 dating series with Dani last summer, insisted that he will 'always care a lot' about his ex-girlfriend.

The former pen salesperson penned: 'There is no easy way to say this and it isn't going to be an easy time but me an Dani are not in a relationship anymore.

'We will always care a lot for each other and have love for each other and I mean that from the bottom of my heart and I wish her nothing but happiness.

'We have some amazing memories together and have been through a lot but sometimes things aren't meant to be and we really did try to make it work but it unfortunately didn't and that is life.

'That's all I have to say, a break up is hard enough as it is for both of us let alone in the public eye so I hope everyone is considerate and understands this. X.'

Dani is yet to break her silence on their split or post a statement about their break-up, with only Jack sharing the news - although, she has appeared to have unfollowed him on Instagram.

MailOnline has contacted both Dani and Jack's representatives for comment.

This is the second time the couple has split after they announced their first break-up in December just five months after leaving the Love Island villa.

Dani penned on Instagram at the time: 'Jack & I have sadly decided to part ways. It's been an incredible six months, and we will always have a place in our hearts for each other, but sadly we've come to the realisation that it's not meant to be long-term.'

She continued in her statement: 'We both plan to stay friends. I hope you'll all understand. Love Dani x.'

Yet just days later, the couple insisted they were back together again as Dani put their split down to 'being in the public eye' as she told fans she was just 'a normal girl trying to grow into a woman'.

In a candid post, she wrote: 'Just want to put all comments to bed. All I can say is I’m still 22 trying to get my s*** together and grow into a woman but doing it in the public eye is sometimes hard and scary.

'But arguments are arguments and I love him. I can only please people who want to be pleased and I am having to learn that opinions are just opinions. Hope everyone can understand that i am just a normal girl.'

Following the reunion Dani and Jack were hit by claims that their split was for commercial reasons, something they both strongly denied, as it was ahead of the Love Island Christmas Reunion, their own spin-off series and their joint hosting duties at the National Television Awards.

The news comes after an awkwardly-timed interview with Heat magazine earlier this week where Dani said their relationship was 'stronger than ever' after their brief December split.

The reality star branded her and Jack 'survivors' as she revealed that their past break-up came after 'lots of arguments'.

She told the publication: 'You're going here, there everywhere, you're discovering each other and you're arguing a lot, and that's when you break up if you can't get through it. It's difficult.'

The daughter of EastEnders star Danny Dyer then admitted she and Jack have still managed to go the distance as the only couple from Love Island 2018 that are still together, there are now currently no pairings still in a relationship.

She said: 'We say to each other: "I don't know how we're doing this, but we're going alright," somehow we're surviving!'

Over the weekend, Dani also insisted that she was still in a relationship with Jack on The Jonathan Ross Show and revealed that she called time on things in December due to his 'lack of respect' around the house.

Talking about her romance with Jack and how much their relationship has grown since living separately, they recently had a romantic getaway to Thailand in March, she said: 'Me and Jack are absolutely fine… we love each other.

'We are trying to build a relationship from a show where we met which is so bizarre and you have so much attention from it, and you have so many opinions and people go "It’s all money, it’s all for fame."

'It’s just like, "Relax, chill, we are just trying to be happy." Life is tough so we’re just trying to make it work, that's all we're trying to do. We are together, we are soooo together, we are fine.'

She added: 'When we first came out of Love Island, we moved into a flat together and we started filming [our own] show.

'It was sort of way too much and our flat became a work home. It was really hard because we weren’t having those exciting times where you miss each other…

'The things I like about [living apart] is that when I come home, I know it’ll be clean. With Jack, I didn’t know what was going to have happened. I rang his mum and I said, "I don’t know how you’ve dealt with him..."

'He'll drink a can of coke and then leave it in the fridge... then I would get so upset about it and we’d be rowing over a towel, the row would be over a towel because I’d be like, "Where is your respect for me?" It's always over something silly.'

In February, the couple reportedly moved out of the luxury flat they had been sharing after Jack admitted to abusing cocaine.

The former pen salesperson said that he caved to peer pressure after finding himself on nights out where the drinks are free and everyone is trying to be his friend.

He told The Sun: 'I'm in a new world of partying and stuff, and being in circles that I would never normally have been in.

'I'd never normally be in these situations but, yes, since winning the show I have been offered cocaine a lot.'

He confessed that after a long night of drinking he got carried away and made a mistake which he now massively regrets.

Jack claimed that taking drugs isn't a regular thing for him and he insisted that it isn't something he will be making a habit of and will never be doing again.

He claimed that Dani doesn't agree at all with taking drugs but she decided to support him as long as he never did it again.

Jack urged his young fans to steer clear of falling into the same situation as no good ever comes of it.
