The leadership team at the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation is deeply committed to the mission of the organization and supporting our staff in their efforts to preserve and promote the legacy of Frank Lloyd Wright.

Stuart Graff

President & CEO

Growing up in Chicago, Stuart was introduced to Frank Lloyd Wright’s work at a young age, evolving into a lifelong passion for 20th-century architecture and, in particular, Wright’s focus on organic and sustainable architecture that was broadly accessible. Stuart studied engineering at Northwestern, and received his JD from Loyola University, and his MBA from Emory University. After practicing both intellectual property and corporate law for many years, he went on to lead businesses with Newell Rubbermaid and Valspar. In addition to his career activities, Graff has an extensive history of board leadership, volunteerism, and fundraising for arts and social justice organizations. Stuart believes Wright’s constant experimentation and innovation, and his unwillingness to rest on laurels, inspired him to live his own life professionally and personally by always exploring, learning, experimenting and growing. Originally brought on to reinvigorate the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation with a focus on increasing the financial stability of the organization, he has overseen a significant increase in both earned and contributed revenue that is reinvested in the mission, allowing more people from around the world to experience Wright’s homes and principles. Under Stuart’s leadership, the Foundation takes a forward-looking approach to preserving the legacy of an American icon, demonstrating Wright’s impact and influence in today’s world and and how a man born more than 150 years ago continues to advance the way we build and the way we live.
