Game Of Thrones star Pedro Pascal pokes fun at his character Oberyn Martell's gruesome death as he arrives at the show's New York premiere

It was one of the most memorable deaths to take place in Game Of Thrones history.

And Pedro Pascal made fun of Oberyn Martell's gruesome demise while at the New York premiere for the show's final season at Radio City Music Hall on Wednesday.

The actor, 44, posed with his thumbs over his eyes to reenact the Dorne Prince's shocking death at the hands of Ser Gregor Clegane, aka The Mountain, in the HBO hit's fourth season.

Oberyn quickly became a fan favourite during his time on the show, after he arrived in King's Landing as a representative of House Martell at King Joffrey's wedding.

While coming to the city under the pretence of the nuptials, it soon became clear he was actually seeking revenge against The Mountain for the rape and murder of his sister Elia, and for killing her two children Rhaenys and Aegon Targaryen.

He is given his chance when he serves as Tyrion Lannister's champion for a trial by combat against the bannerman, after the dwarf was unjustly accused of killing the young king on his wedding day.

But while the fight first appears to be going Oberyn's way, he gets pulled to the ground by The Mountain who gouges out his eyes and crushes his skull, all while confessing to his heinous crimes against the Red Viper's sister.

Pedro reunited with his on-screen adversary Hafthor Julius Bjornsson at the event, and the pair put on an animated display as the Chilean-American actor pretended to wrap his hands around the other's neck and choke him.

But the actors proved there were no hard feelings between them, as they gave each other a hug after joking around on the red carpet.

Wrapping his arms around her torso, the actor then gave her a quick peck on the cheek as the Luther star laughed.
