Bryce Dallas Howard looked every incredible when she stepped out for dinner in New York City on Thursday.

The actress, 38, looked sophisticated in a blue velvet blazer, which she wore over a black dress for the night out.

The Jurassic World star kept it chic and simple wearing a pair of black court shoes and carrying large black handbag.

Bryce opted for a bare-faced look as she strolled along chatting animatedly on her mobile phone and let her short auburn locks hang loose.

The actress and director was honored with the 68th Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year award in Cambridge in January.

The award, created in 1951, is given each year to performers deemed to have made a 'lasting and impressive contribution to the world of entertainment.'

The 29-year-old socialite's great uncle - President John F. Kennedy - graduated from Harvard in 1940 while she graduated from the University of Southern California in 2012.

During the Hasty Pudding Theatricals ceremony, Howard hilariously embraced a student dressed in an inflatable dinosaur costume as a tribute to her two Jurassic World movies with Pratt.

'For some of the smartest people on the planet, you're totally bananas,' the Black Mirror actress laughed.

'This has been totally a blast. I'll never forget this as long as I live and please accept my children to Harvard!'

Bryce met her husband Seth while attending NYU in 2001 and the pair dated for five years before marrying in June 2006.

The actress started filming for Elton John's biopic, Rocketman, in August last year.

She plays the role of Elton's mother Bernie in the upcoming film, which is set to be released in the UK on 24 May and in the US on 31 May.
