'The Mountain' Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, 6ft 9in, towers over 5ft 2in wife Kelsey Henson at Game of Thrones Season 8 premiere

The Mountain arrived with his wife at the Game of Thrones Season 8 premiere on Wednesday night.

Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, who stands at 6 feet 9 inches tall, towers over his 5 foot 2 inch wife Kelsey Henson at the Game of Thrones Season 8 premiere.

The powerlifter and 2018 World's Strongest Man also interacted with former Game of Thrones star Pedro Pascal, who pretended to 'choke' him on the red carpet.

Bjornsson, 30, sported a blue-green tuxedo with a white shirt, bowtie, black pants and black shoes while posing with his wife, who he towers over by 19 inches.

Henson, a Canadian waitress who married Bjornsson in October 2018, was wearing an elegant black dress with a slit up the leg.

Bjornsson, who plays Gregor 'The Mountain' Clegane on Game of Thrones, had to contend with Pedro Pascal as well, in a hilarious reunion.

Back in Season 3 of Game of Thrones, Bjornsson's The Mountain killed off Pascal's character, Oberyn 'The Viper' Martell in an epic and gruesome battle.

Pascal seemed to try and playfully get his revenge on the red carpet, pretending to choke the massive actor with his bare hands.

The beloved actors both shared a laugh and a hug when it was all said and done.

Aside from playing The Mountain, Bjornsson is best known for his career as a powerlifter and strongman.

He has competed in the World's Strongest Man competition since 2011, and he won the competition in 2018 for the first time.

He's won Europe's Strongest Man four times, and Iceland's Strongest Man eight times, and he holds a world record for deadlift (1,045 pounds/474 kilograms).

While his character The Mountain was technically killed off, after ingesting poisonous venom after killing Oberyn, he was transformed by the former masester Qyburn (Anton Lesser).

While still technically alive, The Mountain is essentially mindless, serving only the interests of Queen Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey).

Many are hoping that the final season of Game of Thrones, debuting April 14, will feature the long-awaited 'CleganeBowl,' featuring The Mountain engaging in a fight with his brother, Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane (Rory McCann), which was hinted at in the Season 7 finale.
