It's a scarf and a half! Do it like a Dame with Joan's stole

The original arbiter of style, Joan Collins really did show them how it's done on Wednesday.

Dame Joan channelled the monochrome trend to perfection for her outing, teaming her chic blazer with black trousers, toe cap heels and a quilted clutch.

Naturally the pièce de résistance of Joan's ensemble came in the form of her Chanel scarf - in luxe cashmere and silk it's an investment buy no other. Just don't hold a grudge against the price tag - it's a well known fact that Chanel pieces increase in value. Just like property, really.

If you've got a grand burning a hole in your pocket then click right to do it like a Dame with Joan's exact scarf.

Dame Joan married fifth husband Percy in an intimate wedding at Claridge's Hotel, Mayfair, in February 2002.

Last summer, Joan spoke to Hello! about the secret to a happy marriage.

She said: 'You won't always agree about everything, but you need to enjoy each other's company. Percy is such an amazing man, he is so kind and so caring.

'People get married on the crest of lust. Once that's gone, they look and think: "What the hell? Who is this person?"

'There has to be something else to fall back on. If there isn't, they start looking.'

During an appearance on This Morning, Joan elaborated further on what makes their relationship work.

When asked by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby what her and Percy's secret is, she said: 'Don’t marry an actor! Rule number one.

'Separate loos is rule number two… and I think one has arguments, but to always be forgiving.'
