Son of a Southern California mayor is arrested for violent beat down of an autistic man caught on camera

The son of a former Southern California mayor was arrested along with another teen for launching a horrific attack on an autistic man in a sickening act caught on video. 

Declan Bell-Wilson, 18, and Korey Streeter, 18, were arrested on suspicion of assault, robbery and conspiracy after they were filmed slamming a man with autism to the ground and mercilessly kicking and punching him. 

Bell-Wilson is the son of former Rolling Hills Mayor Patrick Wilson, who was still in office at the time of the attack, according to CBS

The two men were arrested at their homes on Thursday for the March 22 beating.

The victim has not been named.

Cellphone video of the attack shows the cruel moment the two men relentlessly punch their victim as he's laying helplessly on the ground 

Cellphone video of the attack, which took place in the parking garage of Promenade on the Peninsula shopping mall in Rolling Hills Estates, was posted to social media. 

In the clip the two males are seen beating up a man curled up on the ground.  

The two men grab him with one arm and with the other throw brutal punch after punch as the victim cowers helplessly on the floor.

Then one of the men throws a kick into the stomach of the motionless victim.

The two suspects were arrested Thursday on suspicion of assault, robbery and conspiracy

A second video obtained by sheriff's detectives shows the victim standing shirtless after he was allegedly ordered to strip down to his underwear.  

The reason behind the attack has not been reported. 

'Despite the presence of witnesses around them, the suspects did not stop their attack,' the sheriff's department said in a news release. 

'They mocked the victim and made light of the shocking incident,' the statement added. 

The victim suffered several bruises and scrapes in the attack and had two cellphones stolen from him, the department said.

Authorities say they became aware of the attack video on March 25, after it was posted on social media. 

Following an investigation, authorities determined the victim was a young man with autism and his assailants were identified as Bell-Wilson and Streeter.  

The victim told investigators that the attack was a fight over a girl. He never reported the alleged attack or told his parents about it, the sheriff's officials said.  

Several of the juveniles who were present were identified and detained in the investigation. 

Wilson and Streeter are being held on $80,000 bail at Lomita Sheriff's Station. 

Rolling Hills officials haven't returned DailyMail.com's request for comment. 

Rolling Hills is a city of about 1,800 residents, 27 miles south of Los Angeles.
