The Duchess of Sussex is said to have 'felt sorry' for sister-in-law Kate Middleton after she posed for photos looking fresh-faced outside the Lindo Wing in Paddington, London. Meghan Markle (left) is expected to give birth to her first child in the coming days and will snub the traditional photo call outside the royal's favourite maternity ward. Friends have said this may be because the 37-year-old does not want the fuss of having to put on a show and dress up just hours after giving birth. A source said the perfectly polished look had put Meghan off the much sought after photo shoot following the birth, especially after Kate Middleton had emerged looking immaculate following the birth of Prince Louis (right with Prince William and newborn Louis).

Phoebe Burgess and her husband Sam (pictured together centre) split late last year, just after the birth of their second child. And in the first interview since her split with the NRL star, the 30-year-old reveals the pair have reconciled, but continue to have their ups and downs. 'Sam and I will have good days and we'll have trying days,' she said, adding: 'Every single person on this planet who is married knows it isn't perfect. It's never going to be perfect.' Phoebe said she would always protect her family, (pictured with daughter Poppy and son Billy left and right) and stand by her husband. The couple split last year after Sam was embroiled in a highly publicised 'sexting' scandal.

Helena Christensen broke two decades of silence last week to reveal that a ‘dark and very angry side’ of the late INXS singer emerged after he was punched by a taxi driver during a night out in Copenhagen and hit his head on a kerb. When told his brain injury meant he would lose his sense of smell, Christensen said Hutchence broke down, crying: ‘When I have children, I will never be able to smell my baby.’ Christensen, 50, who dated Hutchence in the early 1990s when she was one of the most in-demand models in the world, said the ‘intoxicatingly good’ stage performer had been her perfect match. ‘He just seemed so joyful. Sweet, deep and emotional, kind, profound and funny. [It was] total mental and physical chemistry,’ she said.

Dereck Dover (left), the former friend of a double murderer who killed his girlfriend and her daughter before dumping their bodies 1200 kilometres apart has revealed he was on the police radar. Daniel Holdom (top right), 43, murdered 20-year-old Karlie Pearce-Stevenson (bottom left) and her daughter Khandalyce Pearce (bottom right) in December 2008.  He was charged for his crimes in 2015 - more than seven years after he dumped the body of Ms Pearce-Stevenson in NSW's Belanglo State Forest and tossed the remains of her two-year-old child, Khandalyce, on the side of a South Australian highway in a suitcase.

Police in California have detained a man in relation to a shooting at a San Diego synagogue on Saturday afternoon that has left one dead and several others injured.The incident - confirmed to be a hate crime - took place at the Chabad of Poway house of worship sometime after 11:30 local time, the San Diego County Sheriff's Office reported. So far four victims have been transported to the Palomar Medical Center to be treated for their injuries. Steve Vaus, the mayor of Poway, said there has been 'one fatality.'

Sex Pistols rocker Johnny Rotten is crying foul about the Los Angeles homeless crisis that has gripped his swanky neighborhood of Venice Beach.   The 63-year-old punk icon says his multi-million dollar home has been vandalized and that his publishing heiress wife is 'struggling to cope' with the surge of 'vagrants' in the area.  'They moved in en masse. They're all young, they're all like 24,' Rotten is quoted as telling Newsweek in The New York Post. 

A Canberra music festival is preparing for its second controversial pill testing trial following a horror summer where five young people died from overdoses. Australia's second legal trial, conducted by Pill Testing Australia, will once again be held at the Canberra leg of Groovin the Moo at Exhibition Park on Sunday.    The controversial trial was finally given the green light, amid much controversy, by the ACT Government after the same festival hosted the pill testing facility last year.

The body of a woman who was killed by her boyfriend and left on a Melbourne street will be flown back to her devastated family in South Sudan. Natalina Angok's (left) family have reached out for help to repatriate the 32-year-old's remains back to her family after her body was found in Melbourne's Chinatown. A fundraising page was on Saturday set up on the crowd-funding site gofundme to help cover costs of transportation and fund a memorial for Ms Angok.     

Sylvester Stallone was locked in a raging spat as he argued with a driver over a parking space. The actor, 72, appeared furious as he stormed out of his car to confront a female motorist who reportedly tried to steal his spot in a parking lot in LA on Friday.  Sylvester looked just like his character Rambo as he marched over to the driver and became locked in a heated discussion.

Edmund Reed, 28, moved to Sydney in April 2017 to work as a software engineer but last November was refused a visa on a technicality and ordered to leave the country in just 35 days. Because immigration bureaucrats took so long to process his application, his employer nomination expired and even after his company responded to a request for information from Home Affairs, his visa was denied. Mr Reed was not even allowed back into Australia to sell his furniture and pack up the rest of his belongings, costing him all his savings.

Jaime Osuna, 31, could face the death penalty after being charged with the brutal murder of his prison cellmate Luis Romero, 44, inside California's Corcoran State Prison. Osuna was serving life in prison without the chance of parole over the horrific 2011 slaying of a mother-of-six. Romero is reported to have bled to death from the attack, which was conducted with 'a sharp metal object wrapped in string and attached to a handle'. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is conducting an internal investigation.

Channel Seven commentator Brian Taylor was doing his 'Roaming Brian' segment following Port Adelaide's win over North Melbourne on Friday night. The segment regularly involves speaking to family members of players, and when he spoke to the girlfriend of young Power player Xavier Duursma he got an answer he didn't expect, and his facial expression said it all.

The Block winners Sara and Hayden Vale have welcomed a baby boy to their family. On Saturday morning, Hayden revealed Sara had given birth to their second child in an adorable video with the couple's two-year-old daughter, Harlow.  Hayden,45, filmed the little girl as he announced: 'Let's go and meet brother. Yes!'

Revellers wore daring outfits to Groovin the Moo festival that left nothing to the imagination ahead of controversial pill testing. Festival-goers sported bottomless overalls, crop tops and fishnet stockings at the Maitland leg of the nationwide festival tour on Saturday. The second legal pill testing trial in Australia will be held at Groovin the Moo at Exhibition Park in Canberra on Sunday. 

EXCLUSIVE: Sri Lankan police are hunting a man in a distinctive red T-shirt who is suspected of being the Easter Sunday bombers’ handler, police sources have revealed. CCTV footage obtained by MailOnline shows the man apparently acting as a lookout for the terrorist who attacked St Sebastian’s Church, killing more than 100. Investigators are analysing the footage, hoping that it will help them root out the extensive Islamist cell that remains a threat on the island. The recording shows the bomber scouting out the church while the alleged handler watches from behind a pillar, sending and receiving messages on his phone. The bomber is seen wearing the backpack containing the explosives and nervously checking his phone for new instructions. The suicide bomber was seen on CCTV stopping briefly and patting a young girl on the head. He also checks his watch before entering the church to see if he was on time.

Anna Khramtsova has topped a list of more than 1,000 women national guards who have entered a beauty contest in Russia. More than 57,000 Russians voted in the bizarre contest. The gun-toting ensign says she has had to cope with sexism in the military force which reports directly to Putin. Other finalists will appear in a 2020 calendar for the national guard whose mission is to secure borders, combat terrorism and protect public order.

Michael Hutchence (left and centre) was on all fours, on the floor of his New York hotel room, crying. The rockstar had just told Kylie Minogue (pictured) he wanted to end their relationship, but he was the one taking the decision the worst. 'Was it work, was it the drugs? I don't know. He was like a broken man,' Minogue says looking back. Minogue's raw revelation is part of the never before seen footage to feature in a new documentary on the INXS front man's life and death - Mystify: Michael Hutchence. The film's director Richard Lowenstein, himself a long-time friend of Hutchence and director of several INXS videos, recently found the footage in his attic after 30 years. Some of the footage featured in the film shows Minogue and Hutchence on holiday together throughout Europe, while Minogue also reveals how their relationship started by faxing love letters under secret names to each other's hotels.

Following a scandalous and trying 12 months for his family, cricketer David Warner has paid tribute to his wife Candice and two children after they visited him in India. Sharing a series of family photos to Instagram on Saturday, the 32-year-old said he was 'extremely grateful' to have them by his side.  Warner, who is playing in the Indian Premier League for Sunrisers Hyderabad, wrote: 'Family means the world to me and having them by my side when I do what I love gives me great comfort.'

Incredible century-old images have revealed the extent of Australia's worst ever flu epidemic - as experts warn another devastating pandemic is inevitable. The Spanish flu, the most aggressive strain of flu that the world had ever seen, claimed 15,000 Australian lives in 1918 and 1919, causing the country's death rate to spike by 25 per cent. Those who fell victim to the killer virus were struck down with extreme symptoms including vomiting, aches, and fever.

Terrifying footage shows the moment two friends get themselves caught in a dangerous rip on the Gold Coast.  The two men, who were visiting from Perth, struggled to stay above the water as waves continued to crash on them at Surfers Paradise just before 7pm on Friday.  Josh Brunt said he went into the water when he noticed his friend was struggling with the surf.

The stylish Sydney terrace, once owned by late INXS star Michael Hutchence, is available for lease.  Located in the wealthy inner-city enclave of Paddington, the late rocker offloaded the two-bedroom property for $285,000 in 1995, two years before his untimely death.  Sold for $1.72million in February, Saturday's Daily Telegraph reports the light and airy home is now available for lease - with tenants expected to fork out a whopping $1150 per week.     

An amazing photo has captured dozens of cockatoos perched on the edge of a picturesque balcony after young boy mischievously fed them a snack. The picture, which was taken at a holiday home in Hamilton Island, Queensland, shows two-year-old James staring in wonder at the birds. The picture was shared to Reddit with the caption: 'They say not to feed the cockatoos. Guess who didn't listen?' 

A New Zealand-born shearer has smashed the world record for the shearing the most merino sheep in eight hours at a farm in Western Australia. Lou Brown, 31 (left and right), managed to shear a whopping 497 sheep at the event on Saturday, which was held at Rockcliffe farm near Kojonup, 250 kilometres south of Perth.  'I've been shearing for 17 years and that's how long I've been dreaming of this,' Mr Brown said, after breaking the eight-hour solo ewe shearing record.

A bystander captured the hilarious moment police had to pull out all the stops to get a four-year-old girl tearing down the street off the road in Little Rock, Arkansas, with her trusty chihuahua by her side. The video shows officers chasing after the little girl, as she pedals with all of her might toward a railroad crossing. they eventually catch up to her, and the officers can be seen at the end of the clip guiding the little girl to the side of road, out of harm's way. Her little dog gets in on the action too, jumping up to get the attention of the police. The video was recorded on April 19.

Police said a hiker who died may never have been found if it wasn't for his loyal dog who alerted rescuers to the location of his body. The 64-year-old man had gone hiking with the couple’s dog, Daisy, on Wednesday in Eatonville, Washington and hadn’t returned home by dark.The dog stayed by the body of his owner, who has not been named, overnight from Wednesday until he was found on Thursday evening.The man’s wife called 911 early Thursday to report him missing and search and rescue teams were dispatched to the area immediately.The missing man reportedly often went hiking with his dog, but did not leave a note to say where he was going.Detectives were able to ping the missing man's phone which indicated that it was last used in the Alder Lake area. Pierce County Sheriff's office said its Mountain Detachment deputies and air Operations Unit searched the main roads and logging roads surrounding the lake.
