'People are getting nastier and nastier': Pink reveals she is going to stop sharing images of her children on social media because she is 'tired' of being attacked for her parenting

  • The 39-year-old singer has two kids with husband Carey Hart: seven-year-old Willow and two-year-old Jameson
  • She said she'll 'probably take a break and stop 'sharing my children as much as I do' on social media
  • Pink has hit back at critics on Instagram several times recently
  • Some were particularly vicious after she posted a family snap in which her son had taken off his diaper
  • 'There is something seriously wrong with a lot of you out there,' she said at the time, calling out 'keyboard warriors' and their negativity

Pink says she may stop posting photos of her kids on social media, saying she's grown 'tired' of relentless criticism and mom-shaming.

The 39-year-old has two kids with her husband Carey Hart — seven-year-old Willow and two-year-old Jameson — and regularly shares pictures of them on Instagram.

But she told Carson Daly in a new Today show interview that while she doesn't regret anything she's shared in the past, she may take a break from posting about her family because people are getting so much 'nastier' online.

Pink said she has a love/hate relationship with social media, and won't hesitate to bite back when she's poked.

'[It's] a place where love certainly exists, and where so many good things have happened,' she said, but noted that the negativity has grown incredibly loud.

'After the latest criticisms, I'm so tired of it. People are just getting nastier and nastier,' she said. 'I think I'll probably take a break. I think I'll stop sharing my children as much as I do.'

'It's getting a little nastier. I think people have forgotten their manners,' she added.

Pink has felt compelled to bite back and quite a few critics lately.

In late March, she shared a photo of herself with her two children. In the snap, Jameson has taken off his swim diaper and was naked from the waist down.

Commenters latched on to this and left hateful comments, prompting Pink to delete the image and post a new one, in which her son's body scribbled out — and a new, defensive caption was added.

'There’s something seriously wrong with a lot of you out there. Going off about my baby’s penis? About circumcision??? Are you for real?' she wrote. 'As any normal mother at the beach, I didn’t even notice he took off his swim diaper.

'I deleted it because you’re all f***ing disgusting. And now I’m turning off my comments and shaking my head at the state of social media and keyboard warriors, and the negativity that you bring to other people’s lives.

'There is something seriously wrong with a lot of you out there. Smfh. Here’s a picture of the pelican we obviously caught and abused for hours before dangling baby penis in its face,' she wrote.

It was the second time in a month she hit back at critics of her parenting.

A few weeks earlier, she'd posted a snapshot of a family dinner, with her, Carey, and their kids sitting around a table.

'At least twice a week on tour, we shut the door to the outside world and have family dinner,' she wrote.

While the comments were mostly positive, one person wrote: 'Except it’s posted on ig' — which got a response from Pink herself.

'[Y]es I like to promote healthy stuff. I also like to remind people to stop being TOTAL DOUCHE BAGS TOO,' she wrote.

Pink was also mommy-shamed in 2017 for a picture of her cooking at the stove in her kitchen while wearing her son Jameson strapped to her torso.

All of this seems to have built up to a fever pitch for the star, who also told Ellen this week that she's decided to stop posting pictures of her children.

'So many people on social media go in on me all the time,' she said. 'I have to [go after them] sometimes.

'I feel like I can changed their minds. I'm all about injustice. I don't like injustice. I don't like how brave people are anonymously, and rude just mean. Mean-spirited.

After the hate she received following the picture of Jameson without his diaper on, she says she 'cried.'

'I like to share my family, it's my proudest moment in my whole life. I'm prouder of my kids than anything I've done, and I won't share them anymore. I won't do it. I'm not posting pictures of them anymore,' she said.

She seems, however, to still be willing to talk about them and share stories about motherhood.

Speaking to Carson Daly, she gushed about her family.

'I am completely changed since being a mom. I'm much more open, I'm much more accepting of myself, I'm much more thoughtful. I plan more. I have to, I have to think about the balance,' she said.

'I think about the world more and what we're leaving for these kids and the direction we're headed in. So I guess it changes you music, but I'm not writing songs to my children. Because I feel like the best ones have already been written.

She talked up each of her kids individually, too.

'Willow is interesting. She can sing but that doesn't faze her at all. She want's to be an American Ninja Warrior,' she said.

'Jameson's a loose screw. He's a ham sandwich. He's in love with two of my dancers — he's two.

'My daughter had a crush on my physical therapist on tour since she was two. And now my son has a crush on his fiancee, they're both on my tour, so our family has been trying to break up their family for nine years.'
