Amy Parsons, 35, was found dead in her London flat and her fiance Roderick Deakin-White, 37, (together left) charged with murder days after they spent Easter with his family (right) while planning their wedding. The couple's relationship was said to be under strain recently, but their smiles and relaxed demeanor gave away no clues. Ms Parsons returned to Melbourne in January to celebrate her engagement with her mother Leonie and father Michael.

He has been filmed inside a Washington DC strip club groping dancers and making derogatory comments about women.

Bill Shorten has been an almost unbackable favourite to win the upcoming Federal election. Under his leadership, Labor has won 53 straight Newspolls – and Mr Shorten was widely expected to breeze into the Lodge with a thumping victory against a tired and divided Coalition. But the campaign doesn't seem to be going to script (Mr Shorten, centre, promoting his childcare policy). There is growing concern among Labor supporters that Mr Shorten could still stumble at the final hurdle and lose the 'unlosable' election. A new opinion poll suddenly has the Coalition within striking distance of an upset win and despite splashing out billions in election freebies for health and childcare, the electorate still appears to have nagging doubts about the 'PM in Waiting'. No doubt part of that is Mr Shorten has rolled the dice with several controversial policy decisions.

A north Sea diver has described how he survived for 30 minutes under water after his tether which provided him with oxygen and heat snapped while he was working on an oil rig drill repair. The cord - a tether back to the diving bell and the ship - provides divers with breathing gas and hot water for diving suits in the freezing water. Chris Lemons, bottom right, was left with just his oxygen tank but lost consciousness when the air supply ran out after a few minutes. His colleagues were able to drag him to the surface 38 minutes later but feared the worst when they pulled his body from the freezing water. Isaiah (left) was rushed to Dandenong Hospital in Victoria in an ambulance with his parents Kathryn (right) and Shadrach in September of last year. On arrival the boy, who struggling to breathe and had a fever, was required to wait in the emergency waiting room as his mother pleaded with the nurses to start treatment on her son.

Fisherman have freed a beluga whale wearing a tight harness of the coast of Norway. The strap was branded with 'equipment of St. Petersburg' and featured a mount for an action camera.

A man has transformed an old school bus into a tiny home on wheels, complete with a bamboo kitchen, private office and a king-size bedroom. Nick Jordan, from Armidale in New South Wales, has listed the converted 1986 Volvo model 'bendy bus' on the market for $44,000. He converted the public transport vehicle into a fully-functional property that's practical, spacious, and packed with everything homeowners needs.

A man from Thailand has undergone a bizarre cosmetic procedure to get six pack abs through liposuction. Pangpaparn Ounvilai, 24, (top inset) forked out $5,500 to have his stomach muscles enhanced because exercise could not give him the body he wanted. The procedure involved liposuction to remove fat from specific parts of the stomach that later reveals the natural abdominal lines (left). 'It will make my body always look good even though I will gain a little fat. I am happy this way,' he said about the procedure (bottom inset). After recovering, Mr Ounvilai celebrated his new body in a photo shoot by the sea (right).

Sports Illustrated announced on Monday that Halima, 21, is the newest member of its 2019 rookie class and will appear in the upcoming issue. The Somali-American model was born at the Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya and lived their until she immigrated to the United States a the age of seven. For her shoot, Halima was photographed by Yu Tsai in her birth country at Watamu Beach.

Daniel Craig is back as James Bond, with the actor's first day of filming on the 25th 007 movie beginning in Jamaica on Monday. The British actor was seen on set, four days after the film's cast and plot details were unveiled in a live stream from Goldeneye - Ian Fleming's estate on Oracabessa bay on the northern coastline of Jamaica.  Daniel, 51, was looking as suave as ever for his first day on his last outing as Bond, as he shot scenes alongside co-star Jeffrey Wright, who plays James' old friend Felix from the CIA, and his younger stunt double.

A lifeguard from Queensland has revealed how she managed to shed 10.5 kilos and 12 per cent body fat in just eight weeks. Ellie Parker , a British lifeguard living in Carrara, decided to take on the F45 challenge - and now she's the program's global champion. She was crowned the People's Champion based on her overall transformation, taking into account both total body weight loss and total body fat loss.

Cassandra Thorburn, 47, continues to flaunt her glamorous makeover following her stint on Dancing With The Stars. The mother-of-three shared a stunning snap to Instagram on Sunday (right) behind the scenes on DWTS during last week's finale, which sent fans into a frenzy.  'Hi Cassandra you look absolutely gorgeous who needs Karl [Stefanovic] you've won,' one user wrote.

With constant scenes of gore and violence, it's hard to imagine the cast of Game Of Thrones before life in Westeros. And as the HBO drama comes to a close, fans will be delighted with a stream of recently unearth childhood photos of the show's stars looking worlds away from their TV incarnations.

A mother has issued a warning about the danger of cold sores for babies, after her eight-week-old daughter nearly died from being close to her father who had a cold sore at the time. Sophie Lebner (left with Lottie), from New South Wales, was horrified to learn her daughter Lottie's (right with her dad, Ben, and inset) condition could have killed her within days. Posting on Facebook to raise awareness about the experience, Sophie wrote: 'For an infant Herpes Simplex Virus, within days of exposure, can spread to the brain and to the organs, causing permanent damage and death if left untreated'. She shared her own story as a warning for other mothers who might not realise cold sores can be as severe as they nearly were for her daughter.

The last time Jazz Thornton, then just 19, saw West Auckland officer Meika Campbell (pictured together for the first time) she was strapped to a hospital bed in July 2015 angry she wasn't dead (pictured inset a few months before the suicide attempt). Constable Campbell put her number in her phone and insisted she text her the next day and let her know she was ok. 'I believe in you,' she told her. Now 24, Ms Thornton is an anti-suicide advocate who has told her story and those of other suicide survivors to thousands of people around the world. Almost four years after the night she almost took her own life, she decided to track down Constable Campbell and thank her in person at her police station.

A 17-year-old amputee student in south-west China has touched the hearts of the nation after he insisted on completing a 1000-metre run on his crutches during a PE examination. The eighth-grader, named Gao Yanneng, was originally exempted from the test due to his disability and would be given a pass mark, but the teen said he had wanted to earn a better score than 60 per cent. Awe-inspiring footage of the race shows the determined boy propelling himself forward with his crutches as the other students whizzed past him.

Police and security patrolled the grounds of Canberra's Groovin The Moo festival in droves, but the vibe of the day was more at ease than festivals of late, with patrons comforted by the presence of pill testing and volunteers who placed public safety above all else.  The controversial pill testing facility has been deemed a success after revellers took on the advice of medical experts and binned substances most likely to cause death. While MDMA was the most prominent substance identified, volunteers said other drugs were also tested throughout the day, including cocaine, ketamine and LSD.

Sacked Brisbane Broncos coach Wayne Bennett has sold his waterfront Yeronga mansion for $2.12million, just days after putting it on the market. The NRL coach, 69, who now trains the Sydney Rabbitohs, revealed he was reluctantly listing his four-bedroom mansion for sale earlier this month to prepare for his new life in Sydney with 53-year-old fiancee Dale Cage. The home, located on the exclusive Brisbane Corso which is also home to other famous athletes and celebrities, had cost $1,975,000 when it was built in 2016. The couple offloaded the home through Ray White real estate agency just 18 days after listing it.

An urban explorer who goes by the name Dax Wall said the experience of being at Pripyat was 'overwhelming' because he kept expecting to find people and cars, only to be confronted by silence. Pripyat was founded in 1970 as one of nine Russian nuclear cities and was designed to serve the nearby Chernobyl nuclear plant. At its peak the city was home to almost 50,000 people but was hastily abandoned following the nuclear meltdown then placed inside the Exclusion Zone, so has remained deserted ever since.

Kansas teacher Crystal Smith was fired on March 25 after she was caught on camera kicking and aggressively grabbing a five-year-old kindergarten student at Bluejacket Flint elementary school. On February 21 she was caught on surveillance camera kicking and aggressively grabbing a five-year-old student who was hiding in a library bookshelf. The girl went home claiming her teacher hit her and had a red mark on her arm. When the outraged mother confronted Smith, the teacher claimed the child got the marks by herself when she was hiding in the bookshelf. But when the mother asked for video of the incident, it proved Smith was behind the mark. Smith was put on leave pending the end of an investigation and was officially fired on March 25.

Photographer Pieter-Jan De Pue spent seven war-torn years in Afghanistan documenting its peoples and culture, including the effect that continuous conflict has had on its children. Powerful images juxtapose scenes of childhood with the realities of war as youngsters are shown posing with real guns instead of toys (top) , building castles out of spent shells at an old military base (bottom right) and clambering over Soviet tanks (bottom right). De Pue said that, while a near-continuous 40 years of conflict has changed some parts of the country drastically, in rural parts little has changed since the 1970s (bottom centre).

These haunting mugshots reveal an insight into Pentonville prison in London - the home to the highest number of mentally disturbed inmates. Built in 1842 by Captain Joshua Ebb, Pentonville saw inmates forbidden to speak to each other, made to wear brown cloth masks and kept alone in cells for weeks. An official report stated: 'for every sixty thousand persons imprisoned in Pentonville there were 220 cases of insanity, 210 cases of delusion, and forty suicides'.

Mahouts, or handlers, told local news media that they could see the 37-year-old male elephant, identified in reports by the name Drona, was unwell, but their calls for a vet went unanswered. The heartbreaking video was captured on April 26 at the Nagarahole National Park in the southwestern state of Karanatka. Men are seen bathing the shivering beast of burden, which heaves on its chains with its foot and trunk. The elephant then collapses under its four-ton weight and falls onto its left side. Drona won fame in 2017 and 2018 when he carried the golden howdah, or platfrom, in processions to mark the Hindu religious festival of Dasara in the city of Mysuru.
