The One Direction hunk, who is preparing to release his debut solo album, stopped by the KISS FM radio studios to speak to hosts Alex and Andrea.

Praising the star's dancing skills, he said: 'I get home from like learning a dance and I'm like, “I can't do this one move where I'm supposed to do this,” and she’s like, “Oh, it's easy you just do this,” then I'm like, “Ah”. Honestly she is a really good teacher.

'I’ll tell you one funny story, when she was pregnant she tried to twerk in a mirror and she twerked once, and I was like, no, I'm out of here, ran, no, gone!'

Liam revealed that he had been letting Cheryl take the lead when it came to night feeds and looking after their baby son, revealing she had a 'super power' as a woman.

He admitted: 'At this stage as a dad, you're in a bit of a whirlwind. I'll be honest with you, she's doing it all herself at the moment because she wants to know what it feels like when I'm not there.

'She knows that I'm going on tour, so obviously she's got a lot to deal with. Which is hard. I thought that I'd get the call saying, we need a nanny for this, but no, she's doing everything. She's really pushing herself with it, bless her.

'We did a rota over the night feeds, and then she was like, I want to do...because she used to wake up anyway. She said there's no point in us both being tired and there's gonna be points in the day when I need you to be on it, so I need you awake.'

Liam previously confessed he wasn't sold on Cheryl's choice of moniker, confessing that he wanted something more classic while she insisted on Bear.

Baby Arthur? Liam previously confessed he wasn't sold on Cheryl's choice of moniker, confessing that he wanted something more classic while she insisted on Bear - and has now admitted his top choice was Arthur

He has now revealed his top choice, saying: 'She wanted a very interesting name, when he leaves a room people wouldn't forget it. Which I think is it definitely does that.

'I actually wanted, Arthur. I think you sound like a bit of a tank -...Arthur Payne. He's not a guy you'd mess around with. I don't think Bear is, either though.'

Liam also spoke about getting in the studio with Ed Sheeran and Pharrell Williams, both of whom helped him with songs on his upcoming album.

And the pop hunk chatted about the best thing to have happened to him of late - revealing that Bear's arrival had pushed him to quit smoking.

He enthused: 'I stopped smoking, that's the best thing ever. Honestly, anyone out there who's trying to stop smoking, just do it, honestly. I just did cold turkey, I knew my son was coming, and I was like, I'm not gonna be smoking with my son, that’s not right.

'My life's not my own anymore, now, it's not mine to decide, so smoking had to go.'
