Rochelle Humes has revealed she has reunited her with her long-lost sister Lili Piper (left in both pictures) after 23 years apart.  The television presenter, 30, (right) met her lookalike sibling once when she was six, and was left astounded when Love Island's Kem Cetinay (inset)  revealed his plans to reunite them at a Christmas party two years ago.  Speaking to Giovanna Fletcher on her Happy Mum Happy Baby Podcast, Rochelle said despite feeling terrified of meeting Lili, the pair instantly bonded and have 'spoken every day since'. Therese Curphey (centre, outside court last July), 53, lived in a rubbish-strewn semi-detached house worth £165,000 in West Derby, Liverpool, with her mother Theresa Curphey, who was said to have been in 'unimaginable pain'. Therese finally called 999 in February 2017, telling the call handler her mother was 'cold and clammy, had stopped talking and was making horrible noises'. Paramedics went to the house (interior rooms pictured) but initially struggled to gain entry to the bedroom (bottom right) because there were so many objects piled high behind the door. Theresa was rushed to hospital but she died later that day. Shocking pictures reveal the filthy kitchen surfaces covered with dirty tissues (top and bottom right). Therese has always denied responsibility for the death, but was convicted at Liverpool Crown Court of gross negligence manslaughter. Therese last week screamed 'How could you do this to me?' at jurors when they returned a guilty verdict.

In the early hours of Sunday morning two 24-year-old men were brutally stabbed on Lower Parliament Street in Nottingham. Just minutes later two suspects were caught on CCTV bounding down the street away from the attack as one makes stabbing motions before they fist bump. The victims were both rushed to hospital after the attack at 3.51am but were released after being treated for stab wounds. The attack comes after a spree of stabbings around the UK.

Simon Hayes (left) helped Kevin Curry 'granny dump' his father Roger Curry (right and, bottom right, in earlier life) in Hereford in 2015, claiming he had found the elderly man 'face down' in a country lane. Mr Curry, 78, had no ID and was unable to remember his name or personal details when he was discovered, prompting a long-running investigation to find out who he was. It later emerged Hayes had conspired with Mr Curry's son Kevin (inset, with his mother Mary) and, after admitting fraud and perverting the course of justice, Hayes was today jailed for two-and-a-half years.

The party will campaign in May's Euro elections on a platform of only seeking a new vote if it cannot enact its own Brexit plan or force changes to Theresa May's own strategy, in a blow to deputy leader Tom Watson. Remainer Mr Watson had been seeking to make a new referendum a key part of the party's election manifesto, but lost a vote of its National Executive Committee today. A party source said:  'The NEC agreed the manifesto which will be fully in line with Labour's existing policy; to support Labour's alternative plan, and if we can't get the necessary changes to the government's deal, or a General Election, to back the option of a public vote.' Mr Watson (pictured today) had earlier walked out of shadow cabinet today in a challenge over his leader's stance on a second referendum.

The father of model and TV presenter Caroline Bittencourt, (right) 37, said she did not jump into the sea to rescue her dogs near the island of Ilhabela, off the coast of Brazil on Sunday. He told local media she was knocked into the ocean by a huge wave. Her husband Jorge (together inset) followed her into the water to try to save her but they were separated by the storm. He was rescued after swimming towards to coast for almost three hours. Caroline, who has a 17-year-old daughter from a previous relationship (together left), was pulled from the water on Monday afternoon. In a video posted on IGTV (left), Caroline can be seen dancing with one of her dogs to celebrate the end of her training.

Ajax fans have descended on Leicester Square and the Strand ahead of their Champions League semi-final against Tottenham. The Dutch giants take part in their first final-four game in Europe's elite club competition in 22 years on Tuesday night and their supporters are taking advantage of the opportunity. On a warm day in London, their fan base met at one of the capital's landmarks to enjoy their trip.

Two inquisitive seagulls have become an internet sensation after repeatedly landing on top of a traffic camera in London. The birds have been filmed over the past two days walking around in front of the camera at a junction on the approach to the Blackwall Tunnel in Poplar, East London. Transport bosses told how the seagulls have been nicknamed 'Graeme' and 'Steve', with a series of tweets having left Twitter users laughing.

Denise and Colin Turton travelled to London from Bristol today to watch the first day of evidence for the Infected Blood Inquiry. Their son Lee (pictured) died aged 10 in January 1992 after contracting HIV through contaminated blood products. Speaking after the inquiry Mrs Turton said she wanted to 'find the truth' and 'get justice' for her son. Around 4,800 people with haemophilia are believed to have been infected with hepatitis C or HIV in the 1970s and 1980s after receiving contaminated blood products from the NHS. More than 2,000 patients are believed to have died as a result, including those who suffered from the genetic disorder which affects the blood's ability to clot. And it wasn't just those with haemophilia that suffered, thousands more may have received contaminated blood after being given transfusions following an operation or childbirth.

About an hour before F8 was set to kick off, the social media giant posted an update to the Messenger website breaking down the major updates to its main chat app. The changes will see a significant overhaul to Facebook's main chat app, including an 'entirely new code base,' Asha Sharma, director for Messenger consumer product, said in a now-deleted blog post.

President Donald Trump on Tuesday demanded European countries take back the 1,800 ISIS prisoners captured in the collapse of the caliphate in Syria and Iraq.    'We have 1,800 ISIS Prisoners taken hostage in our final battles to destroy 100% of the Caliphate in Syria. Decisions are now being made as to what to do with these dangerous prisoners....,' he wrote on Twitter. The president also complained European nations were failing to take back prisoners from their specific countries.  

Mary Jane Mustafa (left), a 38-year-old mother-of-two who went missing last May, is said to have been seen at the flat in Canning Town shortly before her disappearance. Her older sister (second from the right in right-hand image) came to the scene with friends today, and insisted she cannot believe her sister is one of the dead. Last night, detectives arrested a 50-year-old man, named locally Ted Jolly, and a 34-year-old man, who has not been named, was detained this morning. They are both currently being questioned.

Emperor Akihito (top left and right) abdicated the throne in an official ceremony at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo on Tuesday where he thanked people for supporting his 30-year rule. The 85-year-old said his age and ill-health - he has been treated for prostate cancer and heart problems - had left him unable to perform his duties. He will officially depart the throne at midnight before rule passes to Crown Prince Naruhito (bottom left with his wife Princess Masako), ahead of an official ceremony on Wednesday morning. His nephew – the former Emperor’s youngest grandson – 12-year-old Prince Hisahito attended the ceremony (bottom right) and becomes second-in-line to the throne. 

TOWIE star Bobby Norris arrived at 10 Downing Street to hand in a petition to make online homophobia a criminal offence on Tuesday. The Essex favourite, 32, snapped a selfie with the iconic Larry the Cat as he posed outside the famous residence. Bobby handed in his petition after it reached a staggering 100,000 signatures, which means it will be considered for a debate by Parliament.

The AA has announced the winners of the 2019 B&B; awards - and there can be no dispute over the loveliness of the gong-baiting lodges. Awards have been handed out in a number of categories, including friendliest, story of the year, unique, restaurant with rooms, breakfast of the year and guest accommodation of the year. The winners include a restored Edwardian country house with views of a rather famous English lake, a Victorian property with four-poster beds and a restored lodge at the head of a sea loch.

Rosalie the Golden Retriever lives with her breeders in Deutsch Haslau in Austria. Adorable footage shows her silencing her seven rambunctious puppies with just one bark that sees them stop yapping and lie with their heads on their paws as they wait for her to give them attention. According to her breeders, Christopher and Melanie, Rosalie's empathy is 'second to none'.

Thea Lauryn Chippendale, 20, from Lincoln, shared the messages from a Tinder match, George, alongside a photograph of the pink ASOS dress he'd branded 'awful'. She won the support of thousands of Twitter users, who told her she looked 'stunning' in the dress. The University of Lincoln student branded his comments 'malicious' and 'cruel'.

The singer's niece Lauren, who is known as Lolo to friends and family, was found unresponsive in her Maryland home at around noon on Monday. Her father is Toni's brother Michael Conrad Braxton Jr. He told TMZ that his daughter died as a result of a heart condition but it is not yet clear what that condition is.

Tramp steamer ships engage in irregular trade - on the spot market without fixed ports of call - all over the world. The baby elephant slips on its way out of a river in Kruger National Park in South Africa. It gets covered in watery mud and struggles to regain its footing on the edge of the river. But after a few shunts from an adult elephant, the baby gets up and races up the riverbank.

Gabbie Hanna took to Instagram on Saturday, April 19, to share photos of herself dressed up in festival gear, claiming she was attending Coachella. Australian-born free runner Dominic Di Tommaso (right, with partner Saturday Ellison) attempted the gutsy stunt (left) in Lyon, a city in eastern France. Known as the Lyon 25, the flight of stairs spans more than six metres and consists of 25 steps. While walking down the steep staircase might take a while for some walkers, Di Tomasso showed there was a much quicker way to reach the bottom.

Authorities in Sao Paulo, Brazil, were quick to react after a video surfaced online of a one-year-old boy being forced to smoke marijuana last Thursday. The child, who was identified as Miguel (pictured in the left and right images) had a joint placed inside his mouth on several occasions during a 46-second video recorded by his aunt, 14-year-old Maydlla Façanha. Cops showed up at the home and detained the child's mother and a second adult, as well as the teenage aunt and two other minors. Police also confiscated 50 small bags of marijuana and charged the mother with drug trafficking.

Spanish scientists have calculated the speed of the impact and concluded that the space rock collided with the moon at 61,000 kilometres an hour (37,903mph), denting the moon with a crater 10 to 15 metres across.
