Trump read aloud from Mulkey's resume before offering her a job at the White House. The team was visiting the White House after winning the 2019 NCAA Division I women’s basketball championship earlier this month, with a 81-76 victory over Notre Dame.

'I just read that through, I heard great things when I read it and I felt we should let people know because that's incredible, seven and 20 to the national championship. Great job,' Trump said in the Oval Office. 'Would you like to work at the White House, by any chance?'

'No,' she quickly shot back as the rest of the team laughed.

The team members and coach gathered around the resolute desk behind a seated Trump.

'It's my great honor to welcome to the White House the 2019 NCAA women's basketball national champions, the Baylor Lady Bears,' Trump said.

'And I watched that last game and that was a tough, rough game with Notre Dame. To coach Kim Mulkey, I want to just congratulate you and the entire team.'

After meeting the President in the Oval Office the women were treated to a feast of Chick Fil A, Wendy’s & McDonalds.

University of Virginia's men's basketball coach declined the invite to the white house.

The UVA Cavaliers won the NCAA championship, and Tony Bennett said the team would not be making the traditional trip to the White House following their win.

'We have received inquiries about a visit to the White House,' Bennett said in a statement posted to Twitter over the weekend. 'With several players either pursuing pro opportunities or moving on from UVA, it would be difficult, if not impossible to get everyone back together. We would have to respectfully decline an invitation.'

When Dailymail.com asked senior White House officials about UVA men's basketball declining the invite, they said they had no comment on the matter.
