EXCLUSIVE: Tori Spelling cuts a deal to drop arrest warrant issued over $250,000 debt - but she and Dean McDermott STILL owe more than $1MILLION

  • Actress Tori Spelling failed to show up to her March 29 court hearing and a judge subsequently issued a bench warrant and set her bail at $5,000
  • But the warrant has since been dropped and Tori will be deposed on May 10 and appear in court on July 1, according to documents obtained by DailyMail.com
  • The hearing is part of her ongoing legal battle with City National Bank which sued Tori and Dean McDermott for failing to make payments on a $400,000 loan
  • The court ordered that Tori and Dean would need to pay back more than $250,000 but the financially strapped couple have yet to do so
  • The couple still owe more than $1million to creditors, including the IRS ($707,487), California State Taxes ($282,655), American Express ($125,000)

The warrant for Tori Spelling's arrest has been dropped amid her ongoing legal battle with the bank that is suing her and husband Dean McDermott for failing to make payments on a $400,000 loan.

A bench warrant was issued for the actress after she skipped out on a March 29 court hearing and a judge set her bail at $5,000.

But the warrant has now been dismissed and the mother-of-five is ordered to be deposed on May 10 where she'll face questions under oath about her messy finances, according to court documents obtained by DailyMail.com

This comes as good news for the financially troubled star who has been in hot water over her years-long lawsuit with City National Bank, which is demanding the couple pay back over $250,000 in debt.

The bench warrant for Tori Spelling's arrested has been dismissed and her court hearing has been pushed back in City National Bank's lawsuit against Tori and her husband Dean McDermott - who failed to make payments on a $400,000 loan

The 90210 star skipped the hearing at the end of March and instead was spotted on a girls trip to Israel with Jennie Garth just days later.

A judge subsequently issued the bench warrant and set her bail at $5,000.

Tori was not taken into custody and the hearing was rescheduled for May 1, but that date has now been pushed back to July 1.

The new court documents show that Tori has been ordered to have a judgment debtor examination in two weeks.

She will be required to answer, under oath, questions about her finances so the creditor can determine how it can collect the money if Tori and Dean fail to pay up.

She will likely face questions about any assets she owns and her income, but this examination would give her the opportunity to possibly cut a deal with the bank before her July 1 hearing.

Tori, 45, and her husband Dean, 52, have struggled to make ends meet since their reality shows on Oxygen and Lifetime were canceled.

Her father Aaron Spelling famously only left his daughter $800,000 at his passing in 2006. His widow Candy, 73, retained control of his $600 million fortune.

In February, the couple was served by City National Bank and were ordered to appear in court to assess their finances as part of the bank's efforts to recoup their payment.

In December, one of their nannies opened the door of their Woodland Hills home only to be served papers on a $1,400 credit card debt that had been sent to collections.

Last year, the court ruled on a default judgment in the City National Bank case due to the pair missing the deadline to respond to the suit.

The McDermotts have also amassed a trail of creditors over the past five years, including the IRS ($707,487), California State Taxes ($282,655), American Express ($88,000 and $37,000).

But court appearances and strapped finances were not enough to stop Tori from taking the working vacation last month.

While the bench warrant was being issued, the blonde nineties star posted a photo alongside her 90210 costar Jennie Garth from Tel Aviv.

'Best Friends in life and business... So excited to be in Israel filming an amazing commercial for @castrofashion_kids with my bestie @jenniegarth #90210 #donnaandkellyforever,' she captioned.

The actresses recently signed on to the 90210 reboot, along with their other former colleagues from West Beverly Hills High.

As DailyMail.com reported in February, many of the cast have signed on to appear in a revamp of the popular series which originally ran from 1990 to 2000, as 'heightened versions' of themselves.

Hopefully for Tori, the earnings from the reboot will take some pressure off her financial woes.
