Pictured by her doting mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, in three new photographs to mark her fourth birthday today, Princess Charlotte is growing up to be an adorable little thing. The shots were taken by keen amateur snapper Kate, 37, (who has lifetime honorary membership of the Royal Photographic Society) at both Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall, the family's Norfolk home, in early April. In one, Charlotte can be seen taking advantage of some of the unseasonably warm spring weather in a blue floral dress with a Peter Pan collar (centre), the same one she wore to go and see her little brother, Prince Louis, in hospital for the first time last year. The other two pictures (left and right) were taken by the duchess as part of a set at Anmer Hall, on the same day that she and her elder brother, Prince George, were seen attending the Burnham Horse Trials with their cousin, Mia Tindall. Racing around in the garden, holding a daffodil up towards her mother and balancing on a gate, Charlotte sports a checked Amaia Kids dress, which is no longer in stock, under a grey cashmere cardigan. The youngster was born at the Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington at 8.34am on May 2 2015, weighing 8lb 3oz.

Physicist says Nazis tried to make a nuclear reactor after receiving mysterious cube of

Jones killed two young girls when he was just 15 and was jailed for 20 years. But he was later released and served in World War II before his military career ended in 1946. And four months after Jones left the army Muriel was raped and murdered as she walked home from a school bus in Penllergaer, Swansea. Historian Neil Milkins has spent 12 years examining Muriel's murder - and thinks Jones could well be her killer.
