Axel picks up his mom's iPhone and raises it over his head before launching it at his dad's face.

Meyers cries out as the force of the phone causes him to fall off the couch and his wife Alexi Ashe asks what happened.

Clutching his face and rolling on the floor in agony Meyers says: 'I think he broke my nose.'

During his dramatic retelling on 'Late Night', Meyers expressed disappointment that his son seemed more worried about the phone than his father's face.

'You'd think he would scream or cry or be concerned at all by the mom,' he said.

'Look at his dead eyes. All he wants is the phone.'

Meyers joked that his wife also exhibited very little concern, saying: 'Don't worry, she's okay.'

The host was sure to point out how well he handled the situation given the immense amount of pain was in.

'I feel like I kept my cool pretty well there,' he said.

'They say when something like that happens the key is to immediately roll off the couch, leaving your one-year-old unattended.

He added: 'I'm so happy I didn't swear. I wanted to drop a thousand f-bombs. I'm the hero of that story.'
