Jennifer Hudson showcases cleavage in white top and brown suit with hanging silver tassels at Billboard Music Awards

She was nominated for R&B Album of the Year back in 2012.

But Jennifer Hudson had reasons bigger than herself on her mind as she headed into the Billboard Music Awards on Wednesday.

The 37-year-old singer-actress attended the Las Vegas event to present Mariah Carey with the Billboard Icon Award.

The Dreamgirls star showcased her cleavage in a white top with a plunging neckline as she made her way down the red carpet.

She sported a brown suit with short-sleeves on top and placed silver netting across the shoulders.

Silver, open-toe heels added a few extra inches to her 5ft 9in frame and her medium-length caramel-colored tresses fell straight to her shoulders.

The silver theme carried to her accessories as she donned large hoop earrings and a variety of matching bracelets.

Before hitting the stage, Hudson found herself seated next to two of the night's biggest stars, Taylor Swift and Halsey.

'There are only a handful of artists who can be introduced with one name and Mariah is one of those artists,' began the Spotlight singer.

After praising her past, Hudson stepped into the future, saying, 'With her new album she has proven once again to be the gold standard in music.'

She finished, 'Mariah Carey is simply put an icon,' before the singer took stage to perform a medley of her biggest hits.

After, Hudson said, 'It is truly my great honor to present the Billboard Icon Award to none other than Mariah Carey,' before presenting her with the award.
