The Spice Girls star recently covered All I Need To Get By by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell with her fiancé and admits it was a 'romantic' experience for them both.

The couple have been together for 20 years, getting engaged in 2011 - but are yet to tie the knot officially.

Emma, 43, said on Wednesday's Lorraine: '[Working with] my other half Jade, it was so romantic. Being in the studio and doing this video, we had a great time.

'We just spent the day kind of canoodling. It was a joy to work with him.'

Of their longevity, she said: '[It's] 21 years now. When we were singing this song in the studio as well, it was just really, really special.

'He said, "Oh, it's kind of renewed the romance in our relationship." I was like "What, where did it go?"'

Emma and Jade's children - Tate, seven, and Beau, 11 - also love the new album, which is titled My Happy Place. 

She added: 'The kids love this album, they play it all the time, which is lovely. They had a lot of input, they chose some of the songs because I've done some covers. 

'They have been in the studio, they sing on the album, as well. So, it's like a big kind of family project.

'Having my kids in the studio was perfection to me. All singing, all dancing. You can go in a onesie when you are in the studio, no one sees you. It's a very relaxing place to be.'

She also touched upon the upcoming Spice Girls reunion and said that she and the other girls in the group - Mel B, Mel C and Geri Horner - 'can't stop laughing' about the furore over the 'lesbian fling' Scary Spice claimed she had with Ginger Spice.

She said: 'There's always a hoo-ha! We're in the studio and we're laughing, we love the drama. We're having a ball. We sit there having our lunch and reading it.

The band were surrounded in controversy after outspoken singer Mel claimed on a taping of Piers Morgan's Life Stories that she and Geri had a sexual fling which lasted for a whole year during the height of their fame in the 90s. 

The tour was even in jeopardy at one point after Geri denied Mel B's claims in a statement and said she felt 'hurt' by the speculation, wanting to move on she added that she still loved all four of her bandmates and was looking forward to the tour.

The pair have since reunited at Spice Girls tour rehearsals with cheery pictures appearing to show any feud is water under the bridge.

Discussing the eagerly anticipated world tour, which kicks off in June, marking the first time the Wannabe hitmakers have performed since 2012, she said: 'We're right in the middle of it - it's been so much fun, we were all a bit apprehensive the first day, what’s the choreography going to be like?

'We're loving it, we're learning some new dance steps. the kids have been doing as well.'

The tour will see four of the original quintet take to the stage 23 years on from their debut, with Victoria Beckham AKA Posh Spice not joining the reunion. 

Emma revealed that VB, 45, will be taking in a performance, saying: 'Victoria says she's going to come. The studio is huge, I'm not sure she'll get down in time, we cant wait for her to see the show

'I think we kind of knew it wouldn't happen again after the Olympics. But we feel really strong now as a four.'

The star said she cannot wait for the tour with fans telling her in the street that they are looking forward to the live shows.    

She said: 'When I'm shopping, people shout - "see you in june!", from children to mums to grandparents, they're all coming along.

'I love it. i was lucky with Baby Spice, my kids love it, I get to go pink and have fun with it.

'I feel really content at the moment, I've got an amazing family, I'm back on tour with my besties.'

As well as the tour, the star has recently returned to solo music, recording new album My Happy Place with fiance Jade Jones and their kids Beau and Tate.

She said: 'It was so romantic, being in the studio and doing this video. We spent the day canoodling. It was a joy to work together
