Paddy Power suspended betting after an increase in wagers yesterday indicated that 'someone knows something'. The Duchess of Sussex (left with Prince Harry), 37, previously told well-wishers that her due date was the end of April or early May, but she has not been seen in public since March 19. A Paddy Power spokesman said they suspended betting after 'a huge increase' in bets yesterday which indicated that 'someone knows something – and perhaps the child is already born'. The intense speculation has seen some fans camp outside Windsor Castle (right) and even assume that the new baby is a girl (inset top). Meghan, 37, was reported to be wanting to give birth at the couple's home, Frogmore Cottage, in Windsor, Berkshire (inset bottom).

Pirates have raided the yacht of a family on a round-the-world trip, shooting a father dead and attacking his wife and child with a machete. New Zealand man Alan Culverwell, 60, was killed by armed robbers on his 65-foot yacht near Morodub island in the Guna Yala district in Panama's north-east about 2am on Thursday local time. The father-of-two (left) was wounded with knives before being shot by a group of hooded attackers who stole a boat engine, Stuff reported. His wife Derryn and daughter Briar were injured and taken to hospital in Panama City.

To help, one cash-strapped mother has conducted a price comparison of the three major supermarkets in Australia, Aldi, Coles and Woolworths, to find out which came out on top (left, right, stock images). So how did they fare?

A police officer has been caught hiding in a bush by the side of the road in a sneaky ploy to catch speeding cars. A shocked passenger in a car spotted the camouflaged policeman on a road in Petrie, north of Brisbane, at about 1pm on Friday, and took pictures.  The driver of the car later shared them to a local Facebook group as a warning to others using the road.  

NEW Officers (pictured) were seen keeping watch at the Al Noor mosque, on New Zealand's South Island, on Friday.  Police wore bulletproof vests while brandishing heavy weaponry as Muslim worshippers prayed. Two officers were seen monitoring the entrance, while another colleague interacted with civilians as they entered the premises. The heavy police presence comes ahead of Ramadan, considered to be the holiest month for Muslims. Security will be heightened at mosques around the country as the religious observation begins on May 6 and will continue until the end of Ramadan on June 4.

Australians are in for a treat this weekend as an annual meteor shower is set to light up the sky with the most amazing display seen in years, and you don't need binoculars to see the show. Astronomers are urging people to get out of bed in the middle of the night for the Eta Aquarids, dubbed to be one of the most phenomenal display of its kind in years. Earth is currently passing through a debris field left by Halley's Comet, with the annual meteor show active between April 29 and May 28 this year.

An image of an airplane passenger's leg oozing with pus has gone viral after disgusted followers reacted to one of the more stomach-turning images they'd seen on a popular Instagram account so far. Passenger Shaming posted the snap of a hairy leg crammed between rows of seats as the thick liquid poured from beneath a patch covering up a wound. The picture was shared with approximately 837,000 followers on what Rolling Stone named on their list of 100 Best Instagram Accounts but the airline name and details of those involved in capturing the photo are unknown.

A topless waitress who boasted about making $50,000 a week and supplying an entire region with steroids with her bodybuilder boyfriend has avoided jail. Nateesha Barlin (left, right with her boyfriend Dylan Shaw) pleaded guilty to being part of a drug syndicate and was meant to be sentenced in April, but it was pushed back after she pleaded guilty to a new charge of concealment. The 24-year-old on left Gosford District Court on the New South Wales Central Coast without a prison sentence on Friday, but instead on an intensive corrections order (ICO) for 18 months.

American actress Cara Corrigan insisted she and British long-distance boyfriend Paul Stirrat are still going strong after he 'looked horrified' when she surprised him at a theatre in Rotherham (left). Ms Corrigan (right with Mr Stirrat) had teamed up with his fellow Dick Whittington cast members and even his mother to convince him she was in Florida, and then flew in from the US. She waited by his dressing room door as colleagues called him outside and ran to embrace him. She claimed his initial shocked reaction was down to the pure surprise and said he 'does not have another girlfriend', adding the couple have been 'cracking up' at the reaction to his stunned face.

New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has confirmed her engagement to her long-term partner Clarke Gayford (pictured). The media-shy couple have kept their wedding plans under wraps, with the engagement happening over the Easter weekend. Ms Ardern was spotted wearing what appears to be an engagement ring on her left hand at a ceremony on the New Zealand West Coast on Friday before the official announcement.

Meshel Laurie has spoken candidly about her 'year from hell' that saw her abandon her lucrative radio job and regular appearances on The Project. In a tell-all interview with McKnight Tonight on Thursday, the 45-year-old revealed she contemplated suicide after being relentlessly trolled on Twitter and betrayed by people she once considered friends. Meshel said: '[In] early 2019 I was in a situation where I was having a breakdown basically. I was drinking heavily every night [and] tweeting, a hideous combination.'

In an Instagram post yesterday, Japan's prime minister Shinzo Abe shared a short clip of himself nailing the gift from Justin Trudeau to his lake house after a visit to Ottawa this weekend. As upbeat music plays in the background, the video then cuts to Abe's wife Akie laughing as she pulls on the string to try out the unique present for the first time. Abe opted to install the knocker - which is in the shape of Canada's national animal - at his home in Lake Kawaguchi rather than his official residence in Tokyo. He shared his delight over the diplomatic present in the caption, saying he attached the souvenir 'immediately' while using the hashtag #doityourself.

A terrified Gold Coast resident has made a desperate call for help after she discovered a monster python hiding underneath a young child's bed. The woman called Gold Coast and Brisbane Snake Catcher Tony Harrison and his partner Brooke (pictured) after she found the snake in her Burleigh home, south of Surfers Paradise, on Thursday. In a video that was live streamed on the snake catcher's Facebook page, the woman told Mr Harrison she trapped the unwanted visitor in her upstairs bedroom. 

North Carolina's Cheslie Kryst, 27, who represents inmates for free, beat 50 other contestants to capture the coveted title in Reno, Nevada (pictured right, being crowed the winner). During the beauty pageant, she told of how a judge at law school ordering her to wear a skirt to work because 'male judges prefer to see women arguing in skirts rather than in pants' (left, at work in a skirt). She said she was even more shocked and angered because the judge who gave her the 'advice' was also a black woman. Kryst added: '[She was] a double minority like me, who took it upon herself to accept the standards that the men in the room desired rather than fighting against them'. Before being crowned Miss USA on Thursday night, Kryst told the audience and judges: 'Glass ceilings can be broken wearing either a skirt or pants'. Since then, a news embargo means nothing emerged about her where-abouts or welfare. One presumes she spent her time at Frogmore Cottage (bottom right), mother Doria, pictured with Meghan inset, by her side, preparing for this wonderful event that might have already happened. All this confected mystery is seen as a groundbreaking piece of woke feminism on the Duchess’s part, but only by those who don’t understand the British monarchy or the singular and symbiotic relationship it has with the British public. I’m talking about people like Oprah Winfrey, top right, who has been friends with Meghan for about five minutes, and who is now an expert when it comes to commenting on royal and constitutional matters. Perhaps she could be the new Buckingham Palace spokeswoman? She’s certainly got the confidence and the broadcasting skills.

Marseille mayor Gaston Defferre and Rene Ribière (pictured together during the duel) fought in a private residence in Neuilly-sur-Seine, west of Paris. They confronted each other with épées (inset), the largest type of swords used in fencing. The duel was officiated by Jean de Lipkowskiin, who put an end to it after Ribière was struck twice. Ribière was 12 years younger but he took the combat very seriously. He offered not only to use sharper swords, but also to continue fighting after Defferre first struck him. Ribière was to be married the following day. Defferre had vowed not to kill him, but to wound him and 'spoil his wedding night very considerably'.

The resort website says that it’s ‘a private world where time stands still’ and where temperatures rarely dip below 30C. The accommodation is luxury through and through.

Legendary actress Anjelica Huston has jumped to the defense of maligned Hollywood figures Woody Allen (pictured together left), Roman Polanski (inset) and Jeffrey Tambor - but she still thinks Bill Murray (seen with her right) is a 'sh*t'. In an outspoken and unabashed interview published in New York Magazine, the 67-year-old admitted she'd work with Allen again 'in a second' despite allegations reemerging that the shamed filmmaker abused his daughter, Dylan O'Sullivan Farrow, when she was just seven. 'Two states investigated him,' Huston, who has worked on two films with Allen, noted. 'And neither of them prosecuted him,' she added - reaffirming that she'd jump at an opportunity to collaborate with him in the future. The Hollywood legend also spoke candidly about her 17-year relationship with Jack Nicholson seen together center.

Melting glaciers are exposing a large amount of rubbish (pictured left and right) on Mount Everest, as well as bodies that have accumulated on the mountain over the years. Local governments are tackling the issue. The Nepal government sent a team of 14 members on the Mount, aiming to bring back 10,000 kilograms (10 tonnes) of rubbish within a month and a half. The rubbish collected so far includes empty cans, bottles, plastic and discarded climbing gear from the base camp and surrounding areas.

CCTV footage shows the animal outside a Shell petrol station in Santa Cruz Atoyac in Mexico City while its owner, known only as Midori, popped in to buy cigarettes. While she is inside, a scruffy man approaches the dog, called Bayo, which reacts in an excited fashion. The stranger then looks around furtively before untying the animal and walking it back to his car.

The mammal was spotted by fisherman wearing a mount believed to be for an action camera on Sunday - sparking fears it had been trained by the Russian military for surveillance. Now the sea creature is hanging around the harbour performing tricks and twirls for locals in return for food. Linn Sæther, a resident of Tufjord where the whale was found, said:  'It's clearly used to being given tasks and having something to do. It reacts when you call it or splash your hands in the water. You can see it's been trained to fetch and bring back whatever is thrown for it.'

Mohammed Arbrar, from Pakistan, struggles to stand after regularly eating meals meant to feed four adults. Despite weighing just 8lb at birth, he began gaining weight rapidly - tipping the scales at three stone when he was just six months old. His parents, who have two other healthy children, said Mohammed was perpetually hungry as an infant and would drink five times as much milk as his elder siblings. He has never been to school as he cannot take more than three steps at a time. Now his parents are hopeful Mohammed can be saved by gastric band surgery by the country's best-known bariatric surgeon Dr Maaz ul Hassan.
