Former Fox guest says she was harassed by suspended host Eric Bolling who called her 'Dr. McHottie' and 'invited her into his office which he said was his favorite place to have sex'

  • Caroline Heldman, 44, claims she was routinely harassed by host Eric Bolling, 54
  • Heldman  is an Associate Professor of Politics at Occidental University in L.A.
  • She made 'hundreds' of guest appearances on Fox News between 2008 and 2011
  • Between her many appearances, she claimed Bolling called and texted her
  • Bolling flatly denied her accusations through his attorney on Monday morning
  • He was suspended from Fox on Saturday amid claims he sent photographs of his genitalia to several female co-workers
  • Fox is investigating the allegations and said it took Heldman's claims 'into account'

A Fox News guest who says she was sexually harassed by Bill O'Reilly claims she was also on the receiving end of unwanted advances made by the network's now suspended host Eric Bolling.

Caroline Heldman, a 44-year-old Associate Professor of Politics at Occidental College in Los Angeles, made 'hundreds' of appearances on Fox between 2008 and 2011, many of which were on Bolling's show Bulls & Bears.

Between appearances, she claimed Bolling, 54, - who was suspended from his co-hosting role on The Specialists last week for allegedly sending photographs of his genitals to several female colleagues - called and texted her to invite her to New York to 'have fun'.

On one occasion when she was in town, he took her into his office and told her it was his favorite place to have sex, she said.

He called her 'Dr. McHottie' on air and, she said, would sometimes call her afterwards to apologize 'and then do it again'.

Caroline Heldman claims she was the victim of unsolicited sexual advances from Fox host Eric Bolling between 2008 and 2011 when she would regularly appear on the network

Heldman made her accusations in a lengthy Facebook post on Saturday in which she also claimed that 'several other women' received similar treatment from him.

'My only surprise is that it took this long for people to come forward about Bolling's behavior, which has been wildly inappropriate for years,' she wrote.

During one appearance in 2011 when Heldman was taking part in a panel discussion on union workers, he referred to her as 'the great Dr. McHottie'.

'I pushed back with “Mr. McSexist,” but I shouldn't have had to,' Heldman said on Saturday, adding: 'This on-air behavior was perfectly acceptable to Fox executives at the time.'

Bolling denies ever making inappropriate and unsolicited contact with her.

His attorney Michael Bowe told DailyMail.com on Monday: 'Mr. Bolling never had any interactions with Ms. Heldman of a sexual nature, and any such accusation would be false and defamatory.'

'Overwhelmed by all the support I have received. Thank you I look forward to clearing my name asap,' he wrote.

Bolling was suspended on Saturday after several female Fox employees came forward to claim he sent them unsolicited photographs of his genitals.

In a statement on Monday, a Fox spokesperson said the network was investigating Heldman's claims as part of its ongoing probe into his alleged misconduct.

Eric Bolling's denial

Bolling's attorney Michael Bowe issued the following statement to DailyMail.com on Monday morning:

'Mr. Bolling never had any interactions with Ms. Heldman of a sexual nature, and any such accusation would be false and defamatory.'

'We are investigating this matter and all claims will be taken into account,' they said.

He also denied sending the text messages, saying via his attorney.

Of those claims, Bowe said: 'The anonymous, uncorroborated claims are untrue and terribly unfair.

'We intend to fully cooperate with the investigation so that it can be concluded and Eric can return to work as quickly as possible.'

Heldman was among a handful of women who came forward last year to allege they had been sexually harassed by ousted host Bill O'Reilly.

On Saturday, she recalled how he was 'creepy in person' and claimed to have once told her: "When I was in college, professors didn’t look like you."

'[He] then called me “hysterical” during a show, edited the interview, and retaliated by never having me on his show again,' she said.

In previous interviews, she claimed to have been 'blacklisted' by O'Reilly after fighting back on his alleged harassment. She said it torpedoed her career.

In April, Heldman said she filed a complaint against O'Reilly with Fox hours before he was ousted.

She also claimed to have witnessed inappropriate behavior from Gene Simmons and Lenny Dykstra.

She said she had to once 'console' a make-up artist who had been harassed by Simmons.

Concluding the lengthy post on Sunday,  she wrote: 'There are a lot of great people working at Fox, many of whom I admire and respect to this day, but there is also a culture of sexual harassment that has not fully been addressed.

'I have faith that, given recent decisions to fire and suspend perpetrators, the new management will effectively shift this culture.'

On Sunday, Heldman told MSNBC's Joy Reid she continued appearing on the network because she 'interrupt the script'.

'You want to work. This is your life's work.

'You have spent years gaining expertise so that you can do this.

'I particularly wanted to do this at Fox even though it's a lot harder than the networks that I've been on because I wanted to interrupt the script so for me it was my life's passion and my life's passion was cut short because of sexual harassment and had I spoken out about it it would have been cut short years earlier.'

In May, Heldman claimed in court documents that producer and TV executive Woody Fraser, claiming he 'pressured' her for both a relationship and sex.

Fraser was a friend of the late network boss Roger Ailes who died in May after being engulfed by accusations of sexual assault. He hired Ailes to appear on The Mike Douglas Show and later claimed it was 'the best hire' of his career.

Heldman described the man as a 'mentor' to her but said he refused to give her a contributor role on Fox despite her countless appearances unless she agreed to an 'arrangement' whereby she would pay him for it with sex.

'Mr Fraser insinuated on several occasions that a contributorship at Fox was contingent upon me having a sexual relationship with him.

'Even though I was a popular guest with numerous appearances and high ratings (according to Mr. Fraser), I was not offered a contributorship because I rebuffed Mr. Fraser's sexual advances,' she said in the legal statement.

Her statement was part of a separate lawsuit filed by other women who say they were at one stage sexually harassed by him.

Fraser, 82, filed a preemptive statement denying the accusations before they filed their suit. He claimed he was the victim of a 'calculated attempt' to 'ruin' his career.

He lashed out at star attorney Lisa Bloom, who represents his accusers, accusing her of taking the issue to the media to try to land a large cash settlement from him for his alleged victims.

Heldman is an advocate for rape victims and spearheads a campaign to do away with California's statute of limitations in rape cases.

She joined Bill Cosby's accusers at his sexual assault trial in Pennsylvania in June.
