Toni Braxton expresses heartbreak as she breaks silence on death of niece, 24: 'I'm still in disbelief'
Toni Braxton has expressed her shock and heartbreak at the death of her 24-year-old niece, Lauren 'LoLo' Braxton.
The singer, 51, broke her silence on the tragic death with a touching Instagram post on Wednesday, two days after Lauren passed away from a heart condition.
'R.I.P to my amazing niece Lauren "Lo Lo" Braxton... I'm still in disbelief and so very heartbroken... Love you...always auntie "Te Te"', Toni wrote.

The photo posted was taken in 2016, and showed Lauren wrapping her arms around her super star aunt.
Lauren, who is known as Lolo to friends and family, was found unresponsive in her Maryland home at around noon on Monday.

Her father is Toni's brother Michael Conrad Braxton Jr.
He told TMZ that she died as a result of a heart condition but did not say what that condition is.

It is unclear if Lauren was alone in her home or if she lives with her father.
Paramedics were called to the property at midday and pronounced her dead on the scene.
Her father is a singer and songwriter, like her famous aunts.

He also appears in the family's reality TV show, Braxton Family Values, with Lauren's sister Ashlee but she does not.
It is not clear what Lauren did for work.
On social media, she referred to her father's sister, Traci, as her mother, and to her cousin, Kevin Jr, as her brother.
Traci told DailyMail.com in a statement: 'LoLo was more than my niece, she was my daughter; and I, my son and husband are truly heartbroken over her passing.'
