Paula Abdul took to social media after running into Taylor Swift and her cats backstage Wednesday at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas.

The 56-year-old singer shared a photo on Instagram of herself holding one of the cats while Taylor, 29, clutched the other.

'Ran into @taylorswift and her two babies backstage at @bbmas I JUST ADORE YOU!!!!,' Paula wrote in the caption for her roughly 260,000 followers.

'I'm trying to give them a normal upbringing but when the little ones and I ran into the flawless @paulaabdul on the way to red carpet we STRAIGHT UP had to get a pic,' she wrote in the caption.

Paula and Taylor were both set to perform at the awards event being held at the MGM Grand.

RECORDS UP IN THE AIR AT 2019 BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS

Drake was the big winner Wednesday at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas as he lead a pack of artists hoping to set records.

The 32-year-old Canadian rapper became the most-awarded artist in BBMAs history as he won 12 awards out of 17 nominations to raise his total to 27.

He also became the first three-time winner for top rap artist after previously wining in 2016 and 2017.

Imagine Dragons was up for two records with nominations to win top duo/group for the third time and also the first act to win back-to-back awards for top rock song since Collective Soul in 1994 and 1995. 

They lost to BTS in the top duo/group category and to Panic! At The Disco in the top rock song category.

Romeo Santos, 37, was hoping to break a tie with Shakira, 42, to become the first three-time winner for top Latin artist, but the award went to Ozuna.

Florida Georgia Line became the first three-time winner for top country song with its record-breaking collaboration Meant To Be with Bebe Rexha, 29.

The country duo previously won in 2014 and in 2017, and were two-time winners in the category along with Brooks & Dunn and Jason Aldean.

The Chainsmokers scored a record three-peat for top dance/electronic artist.

DJ Snake was on the verge of becoming the first three-time winner for top dance/electronic song, but lost to Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey's song The Middle.

The Weeknd was on brink of joining rare company as a third two-time winner for top R&B album along with the late Whitney Houston and Beyoncé, but lost out to XXXTentacion.

The You Say singer also become the first female solo artist to win top Christian artist two times after previously winning in 2017.

Paula earlier this month confirmed on Instagram that her 'superhero' father Harry had died at age of 85, a little more than a year after her mother died at age 85.

Taylor in addition to performing was nominated for Top Female Artist and Top Touring Artist.
