Awkwafina wears white dress with black rose motifs and leather jacket to screening of The Farewell in LA
Her independent film The Farewell has been playing the festival circuit since premiering at Sundance in January.
And on Wednesday night, Awkwafina showed up for a special screening of the movie at the 35th LA Asian Pacific Film Festival in Los Angeles.
The actress and rapper, 29, wore a white dress decorated with black rose motifs for the screening.

The frock had an asymmetrical hemline and she paired it with a black leather jacket.
She went bare-legged in white PVC shoes and carried a black purse.

The Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians actress stars in the dramedy as a Chinese-American woman called Billi who finds out that her grandmother is dying of cancer.
In line with Chinese tradition, the family hasn't told the grandmother that she is terminally sick.
Instead, they decide to organize a cousin's wedding in China as a way to bring everyone together one last time before she passes.
The Farewell will be released in theatres on July 12.
